Jesseo cringed at the sight the mage had given--prior indication and appreciation of her, tempered by her most recent words--though she could not reliably discern if it was sarcasm or if it was just going along with the rest of Ethan's band and their...black humor.

She looked back at the bodies that lay in their wake. She had a heavy heart at what had just occurred--doing all she could to at least stabilize their wounds, or at least those she knew could be reliably saved, anyway. Time was short and she was on the run to at least appear to support her allies...and Lucrezia; out of all the people present, she could feel that Luc was trustworthy above all else, though she did know this was first impressions at work.

The problem was that it seemed to last. She figured it was due to continuous and...predictably the same conditions.

Elanore clutched her head, despite being perfectly healed, she seemed somewhat disorientated. After a moment, she looked at the dead axeman, then her hands. Her face paled, and she quickly looked away.
  "Th, thanks... Sorry, if I said anything weird. Please don't mention this to anyone."
  God, I hope I didn't go too far. Doesn't seem like anyone is injured by me though.. I'm thankful for small mercies.

Lucrezia merely offered her a mildly frightened glance, then looked away quickly.

Positioned beneath the arcing bough of a pine, Jesseo turned to look at Elanore and the battle.

"Stress does things to people. I-...know how that feels. Really."

She offered the smallest of smiles as comfort, something she tried to improve--her smiling at others.

And yet I still feel conflicted...

Elanore just shook her head slowly, not looking back at Jesseo, a shamed expression on her face.
  "I-I'll be fine. Don't worry about me.. I'm still in this fight." The last part sounded more like a lamentation, than a confirmation of her status.
