Pet found dead
« on: November 20, 2014, 07:43:56 am »

During the siege, I got a message:
Zasit Kilrudstibmer, Buck Rabbit (Tame) has been found dead.

No, it was not killed, because the bunny was still in its underground pasture. The bunny was born in this fort so it shouldn't be old age either.

I checked the gamelog and found no other messages related to this event, except one said Zasit Kilrudstibmer has grown to become a Buck Rabbit.

Those animals are grazers. Either it starved because there was no moss. or it died of old age. Take your pick.^^

Well, I want to engrave a slab for it so I'd know its age but I can't find the name in the list. ???

A single tile of moss can feed a rabbit indefinitely. However, if you have a civilian alert active grazers outside of the alert burrow stop eating due to a bug.

I'm sure the pasture was inside the burrow. But it is possible the rabbit was not pastured at all, maybe it just wandered there and died.

By the way, I noticed a goose who had been sleeping for years. Every time I checked it, it stayed in the same tile sleeping.
For some reason, Therapist can't find the goose, maybe it is not part of my fort?

It looks like a syndrome.

More like a bug than a syndrome, if it not listed between your animals. Only therapist ignore it or also the vanilla list?

Only therapist. I tried sorting the units by races, but still can't find it.

Edit*

LOL

I assign it to a pasture. When I checked last time it had been moved there, but still sleeping.

Maybe I should butcher it and buy some hens instead.
