16th Felsite, Late Spring of the year 200
Ledger of the minister of agricultural affairs
It has now been one week since our beloved baron Asmel Usenvutok departed on his diplomatic mission to ArrowPrinces.
We expect that the Human trade caravan should be coming within the next few months, and we hope that he was able to arrive
before their departure for our fair city of NeverTaxed. I shall be sure to inquire as to his well being of the human merchants when they arrive.
In the mean time, after the fruit press has failed consistently to produce any fruit juice at all, it is with a heavy heart that I feel I must dismantle it, and recycle its components for more deserving purposes.
I wish that master Usenvutok would have given us more warning, or more information about the nature of his urgent missive, calling him to ArrowPrinces on such short notice, but he exercised diplomatic privilege, as was his want.
I am pleased to report that my protoge' operating the clothier shop has reached novice level proficiency, and officially claimed the right to call himself a clothier, even if he cannot yet claim ownership of his own store. If he keeps working at this rate, he shall be a great asset to the fortress.
However, there are other problems to report.
It seems that there must be some form of restriction, or policy concerning the production of clutter in private residences.
However, the construction of houses, and the continued industrial output of the metalwork industry has depleted the wood supply faster than anticipated. I have ordered clay collection jobs at my hobby kiln, and have even gotten my own hands filthy collecting clay from the clay seam found in the silverplum mine, but I somehow doubt that our residents will be very happy living in mud huts.
I refuse to cause our relations with our elven neighbors to deteriorate further, but if we cant secure fuel and wood soon, we shall have issues.
