Can it be useful to search for resources on your own territory more than once?

EDIT:Can you affect what kind of technologies you will find indirectly? IE; If I focus a lot on creating a good army, will it indirectly increase the chance of researching such technologies?

Yes, it might be useful to search for resources on your own territory more than once, especially for different resources, but possibly for the same ones.

You can FOCUS RESEARCH on one technology (EX: I want to focus on researching advanced seafaring technology) in order to have an improved chance of researching them (also, what you said will also increase the chance further).

Oh don't worry.

I'm sure me and Salatia will have a grand ball of a time converting every last person in your country.

You are very welcomed to try. I think the population in Narsis would enjoy a public execution or two.  :)

Cocky...you really think you can keep your non-magic-using citizens faithful in spite of two religion specialist nations converting them?

They are rather oppressed, after all...and I'm sure the women with talent are rather annoyed at not being recognized for their skill...

Magic or no, peasant uprisings are still peasant uprisings.

Also, I'd like to discuss purchasing tin or antimony from anyone who has one of those resources.

Oh, uh, DBTM, if you could put the name of the country with each player in the turn updates, that would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks!

Also, what does 'National Ideas' mean?

And are we able to utilize the resources we're getting from trade? I wanted Timber and Stone, for example, to help build stuff.

Will do.

National ideas are essentially things inherint to your country; an example would be Germany might have national ideas of discipline and order. You have to introduce the idea, then pay a large cost of national power associated with the idea, then roll eac turn while paying power. Upon succeeding, the idea will cost 1 power per turn. Think of them like lesser national focuses.

If it says you traded for it and not assigned it for a trade route, you can use it (ie, yes, you can use the timber and stone you traded for, or even assign it to a trade route)

That's pretty cool, actually.

Hmmm...could you give an idea of what sorts of ideas might be associated with the different types of national power?

Oh, we can do infini-trades, then, so long as we have the Diplo power for it?

Excellent....

Just for clarification, I notice that the trade goods I'm receiving are marked as being traded.  Should my trade goods being sent out (Silk to Rantessa and Pottery to Avezol) also be marked accordingly?

Excellent....

Exploration - Diplo
Order - Admin
Discipline - Military
Essentially, think about what category of actions the idea will help; then think about what kind of power that category of actions uses. That's probably what type of power it uses.

Actually, trades don't cost diplo power, so ya, you could do infini-trades.

Right, yes. (my bad)

Is the military composed of the units presented in our background? And is the army a permanent standing army?

Also, what does SK mean?
