I think we still need to hear where works best for acetech09, but my suggestion is either the Santa Monica Pier again (since I now know how to get there) or the LA Natural History Museum (Same latitude as the pier, but further inland).

Those dependent upon rides might extend their range somewhat by taking public transit afterwards, though understandably there are issues with that.

That weekend, I have waypoints both in Orange and El Segundo. If we're doing Saturday night, either would really work for me.

So when I move upstate for school, that's when we decide to have a meet up in Socal.
I could come by during spring break, but that probably won't happen. I'll just leave a PTW here in case I can, or can during summer.
Google, could I make a weekend run from Santa Cruz to LA... almost 13 hours... one way. That's a no.
For later reference, mostly mine, I might be able to make it in the last week of March, but summer works much better.

That's okay, there can be multiple meetups. I kind of want to be in France by the summer, but much more likely I'll be back at home, taking online courses and hopefully having a job. So I'd be good for lots of meetups then.

No, too far for me. Both the pier and the museum are like twice as far as the compromise I proposed. Add in dealing with traffic in the heart of LA...yeah, not doing that.

Also, MNiI, I'm on the SF peninsula. We should gauge interest for a Norcal meet sometime :p. I'm already in LA that weekend so this SC meet works out.

They could probably answer better than me but IIRC both the pier and the museum are at about the limits of Kevak's and Zalzok's ranges... bummer.
