There is at least a whole bunch of unclaimed bedrooms dug into the dirt.
Deus Asmoth did it, iirc.

Depends on where the dirt rooms are.  When I built the dormatories I built one floor up and one floor in the dirt in both of them for a total of 80 rooms.  Rooms beyodn that were likely Deus' work.

Eventually it might be worthwhile to build a kiln for bricks in the secret area and replace the wood.  That'll bring up the value of the rooms quite a bit and make it more dwarfy.

Alternately, an obsidian casting mold would be extra-dwarfy.

A lot of dwarves are dead.
When the beast came, I neglected to ensure that all passages to the deep where FB secure. I considered the one in the slums a done deal due to the wall, and then forgot to seal off/raise the bridge in the neutral zone.
Alas, cage traps do not stop FB's.
Will update post with all the dworfed deaths.

EDIT:

Okay, so Yesaya, Chimerat and Tonnot are amongst the dead.
The total tally is six dead and 2 badly wounded.

Oof.  Okay, I'll update the death list when I get a longer free moment to myself.  Probably late tonight or tomorrow.

Ouch, fb :/
Sorry I opened the caverns there because I (thought) I needed silk for a mood.  I also like caged trogs for training

Updated the list of the dead.

When you get the mountain population back up to where it needs to be, can you post the members so I can update the mountain residents?

Given that there are not all that many living dwarfed players, you may as well just promote a few of the most skilled mooks up to the mountain.

I'd like to note that the next scheduled Overseer is now dead.

I will be picking up the pace of my updates from today, things have been moving a bit too slow imo.

The other three who died are a thrall and two non-descript peasants.

I will ensure the ascension of dwarves to the mountain as soon as possible, it should be six if my count is right.

Perhaps we can dworf one of them as tonnot 2, though I think the next overseer should state what faction their dwarf should belong to.

Hopefully they'll show up and get a redwarfing.  Otherwise that'll need to be the first thing they do.

Or play as a ghost overseer.  Those are always entertaining  :D.

EDIT:
Quote
A statue depicting large roaches will be placed outside the walls, beyond the bridge.

Worst signal ever  ;).

I'm still here.  Think the holiday week caught Einstein by surprise.  Figured I'd give it another week to settle after the holidays before I started barking down his door.

I am back.
This country of mine has shite ISP's, at least the problem seems to have fixed itself and I once again have access.
Expect an update soonish, apologies for my absence.
