The object is simple, try to create a dark and grim world

The idea is to create a complete setting. (As in, for a story)
One post at a time.
Nothing which contradicts someone else post.
Keep it going grimdark, but sprinkle a few bits of hope here and there. Not too many and not too big or powerful, but a bit of contrast is needed.

The fell dragon, name long forgotten, has destroyed civilization.

Some survived the end by staying in the darkness feasting on blood.

[Prophet]

But the supply of blood was not never ending and was quickly diminishing.

[Lyeos]

Prophets told tales of lands with rivers of endless blood.

[Ama]

But, it was outside, in the cursed light

[Tawa]

that the dead walked, thirsting for the last of the blood themselves.

But the dead were also blind, which is why they never managed to find the flowing blood rivers.

[Ama]

They starved forever and ever...always hungry

(Oddly enough, we've already done something like this at least twice.)

Little did they know that the blood came from the Giants, who were saddened at the world's state but bled themselves so at least someone else would live on and not leave them lonely. And yet, their sacrifice was for naught, as the dead could not find the rivers.

The survivors from the caves sent parties to find the bloody rivers. Most parties died but the few who survived kept there people alive. However, the first blood wars were not far..

And in time, long past the day the humans had given up cultural differences, the rivers dried up, and were forgotten.

Then the unimaginable happened, the blood returned, not to feed, but to flood.
