I'm thinking of just changing the deck into a Dark World deck instead of a Phantom Beasts deck. I was looking forward to the Phantom Beast deck, but it is difficult to find common continuous spell and trap cards that can provide similar effects to the rarer ones. RL isn't being cooperative enough to allow me to have time to actually search through a database for cards at the moment. Might be able to do it on my day off tomorrow though.

Well for continous trap cards you could try running some trap monsters like Tiki Curse, Tiki Soul or Quantum Cat. You could also run Gravity Bind or Wall of Revealing Light. For continuous spell cards you could run something like messenger of peace or stumbling.

As the beasts are going to be secret rare in this game though it might be a better idea to go with the dark world deck as you would only be able to start with one of the beasts anyway.

On the other hand, a deck just using one is actually going to generally be a better deck - you're very rarely going to get out Armityle, and you're going to have more problems even getting out one of Uria/Hamon/Raviel if you try to make a deck that can do all of them. You might be better off building, say, a Uria/trap monsters deck, or a Hamon/Destiny Board deck. Though for the Hamon/Destiny Board, both of those are inconsistent, but if you get most of a Destiny Board and can't complete it, you can turn your spirit messages into Hamon, for example, and I'm sure you can find other continuous spell cards to run. I'd really want Shard of Greed for that, but it's also Secret.... Anyway, I'd probably go with Uria - there are some pretty decent trap monsters and some silly things you can do with them. Tiki Curse and Imperial Custom, both nice cards for that, are both Common.

Of course, Dark Worlds is also an option, though depending on what Gold Rare counts as running your Graphas might be a big hit to your deck. Does come with a very nice Secret Rare in Dark Armed Dragon, though.

Grapha started as an Ultra Rare and was Gold Rare only on the Gold Box reprint, so that's pretty straightforward.  It'll overlap with any Super Rares, though.

I agree on creating a deck focused on one of the three Phantom Beasts, though.  For all of the style points possible in successfully summoning it, Armityle is arguably harder to summon than Sophia, and has a much worse effect; for Armityle's summoning cost, it should have an effect like its cousin Horakhty (that is, "I win").  Its only advantage is that, as a Fusion monster, it goes in your Extra deck and not your Main deck.

Grapha's initial Ultra print was in a structure deck, though - Gates of the Underworld. We explicitly don't count structure decks.

Edit: Actually, thinking about it, you could run Dark Worlds with Raviel in the Secret Rare spot, if you wanted - Dark Worlds are Fiends.

Did some testing, moved a couple cards to Extra/side to make room for 3 Fire Formation - Tensen, which is a Common.

Edit: After further pondering, moved some of the Tensens out for Sakuretsu Armors, also Common.
