Current House stats after rolling:

Defense Rank: 47
Influence Rank: 62
Land Rank: 48
Law Rank: 23
Population Rank: 30
Power Rank: 26
Wealth Rank: 31

We really, really, really do NOT want to increase influence or population.  I know for certain you suffer penalties if you have the latter too high, and influence just ends up becoming an experience sink for members of the house.  A member of the House would have Status 5 now, due to the increase to the next influence stage, and the Heir would have 6.

Also, according to the book, we're on par with the Lords Paramount now so far as influence goes.  Mind, we're weaker than them in every other way except possibly land held.  But still.

In any case, William will oversee the training and drilling of the standing house military, as well as encourage the recruitment of capable smallfolk to serve as footmen.

Edit:  "First and Last" also works for me as the House Words.

Increasing opopulation isn't that bad at this point, given that we can only get an extra six at most, and the negatives only start showing up after going over 40.

Even so, there's not much of a benefit to it compared to others.

I'm probably going to change my character from a merchant's son to a bastard if that's okay with you Dwarmin. Seems to make more sense, up in the North.

"First and Last" is nice too, although I still prefer "From Snow, Ice", otherwise I agree to everything. We also need to decide of a name for our seat, right?

Anyway, I'll add to the wealth rank.

I'd prefer attributing white to purity or somesuch instead of From Snow, Ice. :P
Justice is cold?
Just ice is cold? :P
(ok sorry bout that xD)
But really. First and Last is great!

* Tiruin also nods enthusiastically, along with a murmur of appreciation and goodwill.

...Err, what does each rank mean towards the house in question? I'm thinking a bit more Law wouldn't hurt at all, though I'm also thinking in duality--high Law may also mean that its a tyrannical grip :P

"Law encompasses two things: the extent to which the smallfolk respect and fear you and the threat of bandits, brigands, raiders, and other external and internal threats."

Mechanically, if we had 8 more points in it--which we can't get with a player boost--we'd have slightly higher House Fortune rolls.  Which isn't that relevant, really, given how house fortunes are set up.  Generally speaking, a Lord with a point or two in Stewardship and no bonuses to house fortunes is better than a Lord with plenty of Fortune bonuses and no points in stewardship so far as those rolls go.

Voting for Defense then.

Also might this apply?

No problem with me.

Remember that bastards have unique second names in Westeros, depending on where they were Bastard'd.

In the North, you'd be Sheb Snow.

Alright, I'll be voting on Power for my roll. We have enough defence, and wealth is something we also have enough of.
