There are no indepedent settlements nor tribal humans. All are under control of the 4 nations or live in the city-states.

Zeekonrik is both in the north and does wyvern-breeding (most of the Western Continent breeds them tbh).

But snowy conditions are rare; Zeekonrik is on the height of southern France at best. The entire region is very mediterraneanish... New Alvada? More like North Africa

Hmm. Actually, can you tell me more about Denigeberg, before I change from it? Maybe Frankonen as well? I like the idea of Beryn being a hunter in the mountains. I would go for Xos but I believe that's dark magic territory only, so it probably wouldn't fit for him to be from there.

So what about Frankonen and Xos? What are they like?

Frankonen is currently a Dseleudis-held, Domirian-built mining city and beginning of the long perilous road toward Xos for those rare few who prefer traveling there on foot rather than via ships.

Xos has its own entry in the lore and I'm gonna boo you for not reading.

I did read it, if you read the struck-through text. I know it's where the dark magic users got exiled. My question was if it's an appropriate place for a wyvern rider/hunter who mainly hunts in the mountains to be from.

He would live in those few tiny settlements surrounding Xos; they supply the citadel with everyday stuff like clothes, food etc.

Depends on which part of southern France you mean.  Marseilles may be pushing it, but Auvergne is pretty decent for snow.
