Yes, after 'choose your own loot site' fillers you would get fleshy enemies again with proper lockpicks and proper chests in castles/wizardtowers/royalvaults.

What was the plot going to be, then?

For the rest of you, Lucrezia was from Domiria, and she did have a secret motive: the captain, Ethan, was one of the royal family who was lost in a shipwreck a decade ago, and she was going to try to get him to head back there; same as those bounty hunters who attacked us early on.

Her mother was a captain of the royal guard there, and her sister, Rose, had been a knight; her sister died, and to cope, the already cripplingly shy Lucrezia started using the puppet. Becasue Luc embarassed her, she was sent off by her mum to try to find Ethan, since there were reports of him.

Mumcrezia had engaged Luc to someone for once she returned, though Luc didn't know that.

And that was Lucrezia's Secret^TM, as far as I remember.

Shame it'll never pan out, but c'est la vie.

The only thing like that with Beryn is he was probably going to steal the Old God's starship and head off to distant worlds (hopefully with Lucrezia) once the final fight was won.

After said fillers, you would go to Tower of Xos to find out who is sending info into DEEPSPEHS, Tower would asplode, then you would go to Domiria for more answers, Lady Mercenary Grill captures Ethan to finally deliver the long-lost brother to ailing current (twin) king. He would gibe you more scifi stuff plus codes to SPEHSHIP!

You guys go into royal vault for superweapon surprise (just-in-case-nukes), then a long ride via underground train to launchsite of spehsship - oh and the train ride would double as train-boss ride with security train spouting autocannons and boarding security bot parties.

After launch into SPEHS you would board a Human colony ship, find and battle crazy remnant cyborg scientist (aka one of 'Old Gods' and Demura's colleague) who keeps all colonists (including military and overseers) in way-too-long stasis, wake them up, explain stuff and then humans and genetically-engineered natives would settle down together; natives rediscovering old techs and colonists finding a new home from this deal.
