Is it possible to set up a one way pressure plate trigger?
« on: November 07, 2014, 05:32:26 am »

I hooked up a pressure plate to a number of raising drawbridges in order to let invading goblins trap themselves, rather than relying on the erratic timing of dwarven lever pulling. However, the bridges lowered themselves a short time later (although it did slow down the goblin slightly). Is there a way to control whether a pressure plate should reverse the action triggered automatically or not?

You'll need to add a latch (such as this one) as an intermediate step.

That way, the pressure plate triggers the latch, which in turn triggers your bridges and stays that way until you manually reset it.

Thanks!

I think I'll substitute dwarf power for wind power, as my map freezes during winter, which I think will freeze a wind mill as well, and my FPS is too low as it is, so I don't want a flowing water based power source.
