I'll have to take one next time. I figured I was too important and limpwristed to be getting into melee range with a stick, but it's looking like nobody else has the vision for it.

Arc throwers don't even work on chryssalids.

Bit of a nasty surprise for me when I found out.
Not in NewCom, no. But they worked in OldCom and might work here. Would be worth a shot if we had one and a safe situation to try it in, though I'm concerned they might have very high defense.


Speaking of grenades, how do they work again? Range, accuracy, LoS, etc?

Range on grenades is your STR minus their WT, I think. Minimum range is 2. 90% accuracy. If it misses, it lands in an adjacent square to your intended target.

Is interrogation in this?

Presumably.

Not very much chance to miss, then. Almost certainly will still hit the target with AoE.

  From what I can tell, during the abductions the aliens fire down capsules that cocoon people and all, you know, to prevent them from damaging the troops during capture, and the aliens are in the process of gathering them up when X-Com shows.
  As for when they get the landed version, thats when the ship has come back to pick them up or something.
