Why? Just have more enemies.

I like the idea of more soldiers... Although, if everyone grabs heavy or assault, that might lead to squad messing...

It'd take longer and be much harder to balance the more pieces are in play. Just as you can't have more than one officer in a squad, as he effectively increases squad numbers.

That'd affect game balance.

Can people claim researchers and engineers?

I guess? It wouldn't provide any benefit, though.

Hmmmmmm. But AS IF aliens attack earth one at a time. If they're so smart, why don't they do a big fat swarm assault?

Well, depending on how much of a strain it is for Gigla, it would be cool.

Or what about every day, mission or no mission, he rolls. If we (un)lucky, there is a new mission, which we have 24 hours to decide wether or not to take. If both Strikes are away when another mission comes.... Well, the aliens get free reign to do whatever they want.

Probably too much yeah. But it would be awesome.

Actually, I'm just sad we don't seem to have much of the strategic side of X-COM here.

Though to make it have a higher XCOM content I'd strongly advise MEC troopers.  :D

Hmmmmmm. But AS IF aliens attack earth one at a time. If they're so smart, why don't they do a big fat swarm assault?

Really, if the aliens wanted to win, they could simply announce to the humans: "Surrender, or we'll bombard Earth with space rocks."

And humanity would have to. We simply wouldn't be able to defend against the forces they bring to bear. It turns out that against a enemy with much greater technology, you lose, just as surely as you would if the aliens started off the invasion with elite mutons and sectopods. If they only ever used battleships to complete missions, you'd never be able to down one of their ships.

Asking why the aliens don't do X strategic maneuver is because the answer is "You'd lose, and it wouldn't make a very fun game."

---

And yeah, I'm already running this, FEF: Seed of Chaos, and soon NEF: Witch-hunt as well. I don't want to take on even more at the moment. So no mission thread 2. This isn't Einsteinian Roulette, three threads is quite enough.

We seem to be lacking in actions.

My vote, which is infinitely easier to make when I'm not the one doing it, would be for piling in as close to the hugglebug as possible so as to ensure a maximum number of people shooting it (and the resulting zombie, and... oh gods we are so boned) when it gibs the closest target in sight- the policeman. The downside to this plan, of course, is that if it doesn't just beeline for the closest warm thing, it'll definitely put several people within range.

So on that note, I can Perform people to shuffle in closer if they'd like. This might be especially handy in Powder/Ochita/Objective's case, since the former is sitting in the closest spot either of the latter can move to.
