Any way to tell the quantity of different types of seeds?
« on: November 06, 2014, 01:12:37 pm »

I've been having a problem with farming lately because I don't seem to have enough seeds. However, when I check the status screen it says i have "600?" seeds. I have a bookkeeper. Thanks for the help!

Perhaps try to change the settings for the bookkeeper?
I.e. go the the nobel allocation, highlight the bookkeeper and activate the 'settings' sub-menu. I usually run with the highest setting, and I would expect that to give you access to the different type counts.

(I can't check it, as I don't have access to DF right now though)

Awesome. Thank you very much, man. The DF community has been so helpful in my quest to actually understand this game!

I might just clarify there:
N for nobles screen, select bookkeeper, s for settings, set it to "all counts accurate"
then after the bookkeeper does some work (he does need an office, basically just a chair, assigned to him though)
Z for status, move to kitchen and it should show all the types of seeds you have and how many (you can also view that in stocks but it shows all the other stuff you might not care about)
Keep in mind some plants produce seeds when they are brewed/eaten, milled or otherwise processed so you also have potential seeds from those plants
