Not interested in playing, unless I get a sudden epiphany of the perfect minmax, for I'm not much of a powergamer. Watching what others come up with? Sure, why not?

Mainly posting to watch, here.
I may come up with a character or ten, especially if I can get build something without buying anything (isn't that what DnDtools and the SRD are here for ?).

Definitely interested in watching. Will play once I get a bit more of an idea what it's like.

Is a sorcerer of ECL 7 reasonable sounding, in terms of competition &c? I'm considering throwing my actually pretty balanced usual character out, to see how he fares.

Hey, I'd like to join in. One proposed rule: no infinite combos during character building. You can make a pretty good character without the Dark Chaos Feat Shuffle, you know!

I'll make some ECL 7 characters later. I'm also working on a level 20 wizard-bane character for my brother, who is running an all-wizard campaign. If anyone has some high level casters to test it against, I'd appreciate that. (My goal is to make it a very difficult fight, but I don't want to overshoot and kill them too quickly.)

I'll type up the char sheet either tomorrow or on Saturday, then. To victory!

Immaterial.

I have done something terrible.

I made me.

I think I broke it. I'm not even going to fill in my bonus epic-level spells. Those skill points are without adding in my +7 INT boost from up to level 30.

HD roll. By sheer luck, it ended up counting my accidental level 1 roll as a 4.

Alternatively, have a duplicate of my Cold Beginning sheet and Frederick deYlisse the Completely Not Derivative Crusader.

You say that like it's impressive. My Wildshape Ranger character for QfI has nearly as many skill points as that.
At level 17.

Uh. You remember that Rangers have 6+Int skillpoints, right?

I also didn't bother to do any splatbook diving for prestiges or anything.

Yeah, but most of the levels were in MoMF/Warshaper, which have 4+Int/2+Int respectively. Also, Rangers have far less use for Int than Wizards, and I didn't abuse aging rules for bonus mental stats (despite Dragonwrought Kobold and a long backstory).
Also, I'm not saying that the Ranger is great, just that for a level 30 Wizard, that skill point count is kind of... meh.

Hey, it's a wizard--you came for the spells, not the Use Rope and Escape Artist.

Anyway, Robin and Frederick are going to be my only real entrants for now unless somebody else makes a level 30, tier 1 character.
