Russian ceasefire can only be achieved when the opposition has been annihilated. So I'd rather go with the regular ceasefire, since it looks like Owlbread won't agree to an armistice.

Russia is no better or worse than America in terms of its exertion of power over its neighbours and its Imperialist aspirations.

The United States shares the longest non militarized border in the world with Canada and the mid 90s American initiative to help the Mexican economy is one of the most successful examples of foreign aid in history.

American and Russian treatment of their neighbors have about as much resemblance as a birthday party and a drive by shooting.

Well, duh, you didn't have two world wars (plus countless smaller wars) happen on your continent. These things tend to create residual violence.

Ah, is he one of those politicians?

You know, people support him not because they really agree with him but "at least he speaks the truth and doesn't lie to us like everybody else".

Basically he's Russian Boris Johnson, except people laugh at his lack of sanity rather than him chasing people harassing women whilst shouting 'OOIIIIIIIIIKS!'?
Pretty much.

So THAT's why Guardian G.I. is so protective of Belarusian tractor factories. They form a cornerstone of Belarus's defence strategy. If those industries were privatised and bought off by foreign companies, the Western Euro-Nazi colonists could just steamroller over the country and force them to have freedom of speech and speak Belarusian and marry gay people, or whatever we're planning.

America's no better or worse in therms of its exertion of power over other nations around the world that it knows it can prey upon would probably be a better way of putting it.

Ah yes what wonderful evidence you provide.  Faced with concrete examples of the US and Russia being different, you repeat the fact that they are the same.

Hey guys, I'm pretty sure that Russia's economy is exactly the same as the US too.  No evidence, but I have this feeling, see?

Well, Iraq? Afghanistan? It's not like the US track record of not invading countries of more-or-lee flimsy excuse is great over the past decade.

Are we really going to dig up every example of American involvement in regime change in Central American and South American countries, an area considered by the United States to be its "backyard" in just the same way that Russia considers Central Asia, the Caucasus and Ukraine to be its "backyard"?

But you see, they technically aren't USA's neighbors!
