The status cap is five, any other skill is uncapped.

Step one in the OP would like to disagree.

Skill cap depends on age. 14 - 18 year olds have skill capped at 5, 19 - 30 year olds have skill capped at 7, 31 - 50 have skill capped at 6, and so on.  So, kj would be right in saying that character's skills are capped at 5, since said character is 17.

That said, he also has the Blood of Heroes benefit.  Assuming he's applying that to marksmanship, he can raise it above the normal cap.

Also, your character...well, you had better have a good personality and backstory to somehow afford all of what will be no doubt be a nine rank crossbowman, with nine ranks of specialty. I'm apt to reject it out of hand-this isn't a game for superhumans.
