How to balance these weapons?

I've been working on making a new race, called the Drale, who are basically goblins+elves. They will have a limited selection of weapons, limited to a spear, a hammer, and a bow. Sounds horrible with no sword, right? No! They have their bow, the Dralic Bow, which has been made with a bladed slashing attack. Plus the spear is like a pike, with a slash as well, but not so tough. But, for some reason, the Dralic Bow outperforms the short sword in close combat. Why? It's numbers suggest that it should be weaker. Here's the raws. Thanks!

You should probably use code tags instead of spoiler tags. Anyway,

Smaller does not always mean worse. In the case of the number at the end (velocity multiplier), smaller does always mean worse, but in the case of the first number (contact perc), one could easily argue that it's better when smaller. If you want to make it worse than a short sword, you want it to be slower, not smaller.

How did I not think of velocity... Thanks, I'll lower that to 750 and try it out.

Once I'm satisfied with how the Drale perform, I'll release them.
