Roguelikes with something similar to the Object Testing Arena?
« on: November 02, 2014, 07:20:56 am »

DF's OTA, a very unique thing (from what I've seen), I've recently been wondering as to whether there's anything similar to it in any other roguelike/other game. I remember playing an Angband variant on Android with a similar feature but it seems to have disappeared as of now. I'm very fond of watching the bloodshed of ASCII creatures.

Anyways... To the question/s: Is there anything like this rare beast of experimentational carnage? Is this feature a lone yeti, or does it have other wild cousins? Discuss below!

In Dungeon Crawl (Stone Soup) there's an arena in which you can spawn monsters that will fight each other.
It's not as great and configurable as the excellent one in DF unfortunately and there are only 2 sides

Cool man, thanks! Might have a look at it later.

It's still fun to make dudes fight.

Spoiler:  Cerebov beats everyone except the Royal Jelly, who occasionally wins out.
