Yes it does.I'm assuming it's DX11 only.
Better impressions: Still haven't played support or medic somehow. Monster is actually pretty easy. It's not as intuitive as the hunters, you've been playing shooters forever and you've been dealing with tank-dps-heal dynamics forever so it's nothing new. The boss is so big aiming doesn't really matter except as a bonus (the medic's rifle creates weak points that show up as little circles on the monster's body)
Whereas the monster relies on managing several different elements at the same time. While hunters can use psychology to get a better grip on the monster the monster relies on psychology. Lots of small tricks that you don't know early on that get you killed.
When you start off identify the obvious direction to go. Run in that direction, then crouch and double back. 99% of players will fall for it and even if they don't they still have to guess which way you really went.
You are fast as fuck. Jump jump climb jump abuse charge and leap strike to create distance. As I mentioned before the hunters have limited vertical mobility while you do not. Multiple changes of elevation in short succession will make it hard for them to follow you.
Break line of sight, crouch and double back. Don't forget the dog though.
Remember the dog can revive people. Remember that hitting someone interrupts revive.
Eat constantly. You can kill alphas and bigger monsters by spamming abilities. You can also autokill a lot of docile animals by sneak attacking them. Hitting a hunter while sneaking will do the left 4 dead pin thing which can be deadly if he's alone but they're almost never alone so it rarely gets used.
Monster auto-wins against new players if you know what you're doing. A bad trapper especially is gg.
