Halloween night. Unidentified year.

The atmosphere around the town is festive and happy, everyone seems to be in the Halloween spirit. Plastic skeletons and cloth ghosts decorate the town beneath flickering streetlights.

Is there any better time to be a child? The people here give out candy like oceans give out water. Even those of you who just started have a substantial amount, most of it good stuff too. Children and even adults roam the street in varied costumes, from cheap home-made ones to costumes that would not seem out of place in a Hollywood movie.

It feels like the entire town is out tonight. Of course you see plenty of children around your same age. Some are friends, some are acquaintances, others are complete strangers, but what happens tonight might just bind you for life.

It is said "It is always darkest before the dawn", though it seems here that has been reversed. The last light before the darkest period humanity has reached...

[Prophet]

"He-hello."

Kyle waves.
"Hi!"

[Prophet]

H-how are yo-you doing Kyle.

[Fniff]

A red sports car pulls up to the curb where Kyle and Oswulf are standing. A man in a leather jacket and sunglasses stands up from it, looking like a walking 'just say no' PSA. He thumps on the roof of the car, and Angelo steps out. Oh God, his costume is a nurse's uniform. A girl's nurse's uniform. For girls. It looks handmade, with the hat being a baseball cap that has a red plus sign stitched onto it. He also appears to have badly put some makeup on.
"Are these your stupid friends?" says the man who the two begin to recognize as Angelo's older brother. He takes out a suspicious pipe, has a drag, then blows out noxious smoke. "Have a nice time hopping gay bars or whatever the hell you're doing."
Angelo gives his brother a dirty look. "No, we're trick or fucking treating, you fucking asshole," he says. "I'll be back by eight, okay?"
"Whatever, dad's going to kick the living shit out of you whether you come back by eight or tomorrow at four drunk off your ass," says his brother.
Angelo seems like he's about to scream something, but he stops at the last moment. "Can you give me a fifty too?" he says. His brother sighs loudly, passes Angelo a fifty, then gets inside the car and speeds off.
Angelo looks at Kyle and Oswulf. "What I miss?"

Kyle pulls a gray spherical object out of his bag. It's fairly large.
"I found a rock! I think it's limestone."

[Fniff]

"Did you get that thrown at your head?"

"Nope. Saw it on the ground."

[Yourmaster]

Alex would slowly walk down the street. He was an elf, but with a bit of a personal touch. His bow used to be real, but it's now covered in white gold. He has multiple necklaces, made from various precious metals. He was covered in hunting knives, each one with a silver plated hilt. He was a spoiled jackass, and he loved it. He raised his hands to wave to his friends, and each finger had a golden ring. "What's up, guys?". He would look at Angelo and blow a kiss to him, chuckling at his nurse's outfit.

[Fniff]

Angelo says in a quiet, vaguely insecure tone "Shut up, my costume's awesome," and look just a tiny bit embarrassed through the usual bravado.

[Prophet]

H-hi Angelo. Hi Al-Alex.

[Fniff]

"Yo Oz. Who are you dressed as?"

[Prophet]

Saru-Saruman. My mo-mom got one wi-with a hood just in-incase I get co-cold.

((I hope no one minds my attempt at giving my character a stutter.))

[Yourmaster]

Alex slyly starts to move around, attempting to tap Angelo's rear.

[Fniff]

Angelo stamps on Alex's foot.
"Who's Saru-Saru Man? Is he like Superman?"
