You riffle through Nales pockets, but he doesn't have anything in them. The only real thing of value on Nale is his "Hitchhiker."

Leave Nale be and begin exploring

After 5 minutes of looking around the forest, you come across a huge lake, spanning far in all directions (think Lake Superior). It lies undisturbed with no animal life in sight.

Look at the lake from its shores. Disturbed the water a little by poking it with the lyre

You observe the lake for a minute or so, but see nothing out of the order nary. Upon dipping your lyre into, however, the water starts to hiss and bubble. When you take out the lyre, the wood is cracked and warped.

You start skirting along the lake, the sun rising in front of you. You glance down at your ChronoMouse and see that the dimension travel cool down has 39 minutes remaining, and the time travel cool down has finished. You also notice a small button that wasn't there before. It is in the corner of the touch screen, and has a "!" In the middle. It is pulsating softly.

A little screen comes up with the words, "Updates available. Proceed? (y/n)" and two buttons labeled "y" and "n."

Your ChronoMouse beeps and reads, "Download initiated." and returns to the normal screen. You see a new readout has been created, labeled "Updates." Underneath it are the words, "Ready at next jump." You look up again just in time to hear a roar echo from the forest behind you.

Start running away from the noise

[89] You run steadily away from the noise, its intensity fading as you run farther and farther away. At last, you are exhausted and collapse on the ground, beside the lake.
