Vanitate: Cast Detect Magic and examine the area for enchantments of any kind[Especially the rock].

I've heard stories of enchanted druidic standing stones. Best not to take risks.

Nothing of interest.

Anyway. You all rest for the night and continue out to the woods.

Leading your mounts (or, in Ooh-Ha's case, walking) at a reasonably fast pace through the thick forest, you all spot quite a bit of smoke coming from a particularly dense spot in the woods hardly an hour past dawn.

Try to determine how far away the source of the smoke is.

No more than three hundred meters, at least.

Ooh-Ha stays quiet, doing his best to listen for sounds from the fire.

Can I head anything from this distance?

You listen...

Nothing. Did you really expect to hear something from like 900 feet away?

Leave mount behind here. And make the rest of the approach on foot, when everyone is done.

<>Its probably best if we leave our mounts here for now. They're not very stealthy, which is an attribute that might come in handy to avoid being filled with arrows at the first opportunity.<>

Ooh-Ha laughs a quiet, hoarse laugh. "I think not leave self behind. THOKWALD have front? Will take back."

Follow in suit, keeping an eye out for any movement around us. Take the back to leave squishy folk in middle.

Thokwald grins broadly, teeth showing, "Aye, THOKWALD have front. Little men follow behind. Leave horses."

Tie mount to tree, proceed on foot.

"I think I'm a little conspicuous on foot. Strangely enough I'm actually more stealthy atop Xenophon. If that is your intent I think I'll stay back a bit more than the others and rush in if I hear anything."

THOKWALD leads the way, tying his horse to a tree, with Vanitate and Ooh-Ha following. You eventually come in sight of the place the smoke came from. In a clearing, there is a large fire, around which seven men, all holding various weapons, are clustered. There are a couple horses hitched to poles nearby, and there are a couple of large sacks near the horses.

None of the men show any sign of seeing you.

Thokwald steps forward, hefts his sword, and shouts, "THOKWALD is wondering if you is cowardly bandits what are attacking nearby villages, or just wandering armed men what happen to look like bandits!"

((PREPARED ACTION)) Prepare to charge at the farthest man I can reach (within 120 feet) and tear into him with my claws, after COLORSPRAY.
