Thokwald seizes the ale, downing it in a single go. After digging around for a moment, he tosses a couple battered copper coins beside the empty mug.

"THOKWALD is ready, little man. Lead on."

[Nerjin]

"I suppose I am duty bound to attempt to assist. If nothing else it will make the roads safer for our travel." Diogenes sighs as he slowly ambles along with the group.

Vanitate follows the others. It seemed his herd of pawns was taking shape. Everything was going according to plan. Everything except maybe THOKWALD. THOKWALD wasn't exactly the sort of person who could be reliably factored into delicate plans. More like the kind of person you aim in a direction and stand back from.

[Tawa]

However, Vanitate, you feel slightly out of place travelling with the horse-mounted THOKWALD, wolf-riding Diogenes, and fast-running Ooh-Ha. Perhaps you should get a mount of your own...?

This won't do at all. Although riding had always struck Vanitate as undignified, its still more so then having to trail behind these people.

Find horse seller. Use diplomacy to get it for free or at least for less then 10 GP. If that fails, charm person him and assure him you'll just be borrowing it.

You find a stable in town and assure the man there that the horse you need is for a good cause. He gives you a grey stallion, Galan, for free, with a saddle.

Horse get.

Ready to ride? You estimate the way to the camp is roughly a half day's travel.

You travel until sunset. At sunset, you find yourselves at the top of a gently sloping hill and can see the forest marked on the map off in the distance. The hill is dominated by a tall, somewhat out-of-place-seeming stone; surrounding you are high grasses, rolling hills, and the occasional lone tree, all gently played upon by the dancing light of the setting sun.

"THOKWALD think that this is seeming like good place to stop 'til dawn, aye?"

"That works for me. I will take watch I think. I need less sleep. It comes with being old."

"Whole watch or first watch? THOKWALD not wanting to hear crying come morn," the man laughs, laying out his bedroll at the foot of the standing stone.
