... Are you actually dangerous, or...?
Mastahcheese:
Toaster: I'm not trying to bait you, I wasn't even talking to you.
And you're dangerous because reasons.
Uh huh. Yeah, I believe that.
The WIFOM stew isn't helping.
Superblackcat:
Toaster: Did mastahcheese ask you to do anything with the gun when he passed it to you?
Not other than this:
Besides the weapon I've already been handed? Probably, yes. Right this second, no, but I'm not afraid of killing someone I strongly suspect.
Really?
*Passes Toaster a gun*
I want to see if you'll make due on that, Toaster
Anyway, I was waiting for Shakerag Prime to chip in (I think he's got the same idea) but I'll throw it down here.
I think there are two games going on here.
One side is Town Vs Mafia, and the other is Shakerag Vs Anti-Shakerag (for lack of a better term). Players appear to be variously assigned to one of the four groups, and possibly there is some crossover. The closest mental comparison I can come up with is
Rysith's Semi-Bastard which also had people on multiple teams (also it's a great read, check it out sometime).
Varee's claimed ability to inspect for Shakeragity or Mafia is a pretty big clue to this.
The problem is I have no idea how the two sides interact. They may not at all, but the only way to see this is to start gathering evidence by flip, and I think shooting Cheeetar is the best example. He has claimed a Miller ability, but it could just as easily be a Godfather ability. We've had several people claim Shakerag/not Shakerag, but the latter could easily be just in the town/mafia category instead (instead of anti-Shakerag.) I want to address one of those specifically:
Shakerag is not, in fact, indicative of anti-town, because my main role has the words "the Shakerag" in it and is town. No, I can't prove I'm town short of inspects, I get it. I'll post more once I take the dog out.
You appear to be both Shakerag and Town (by your claim.) If this is the case, then Cheeetar is at least partially antagonistic to you, since he is Non-Shakerag. As such, you should want me to shoot him.
In any case, I think shooting him is the best way to resolve this inconclusiveness about alignments and wincons. While he's asking questions well, I'm not sure what conclusions he's drawing since he doesn't even know his own alignment to work with the answers. At worst, we lose a neutral. At best, we kill scum. In either case, we gain information.
Bang.
For the record, I'd shoot Mastahcheese, but very clearly he wants me to do so, so screw that; hang him instead.
