Klikklak, his sodden leather armour a burden it had never seemed before, would have jumped, had he the strength. As such an obvious outsider in a land mostly filled with humans, it wasn't easy for him to do what he thought he should - find and accept righteous quests - which was why, he told himself, he stuck to them so stubbornly.

He'd been pushing forward, head down into the blasting rain, for days. Three? Four?

For a human woman's mate.

Odd.

He had no idea really what he was doing, just that he had to do it.

"Dragon... sib?"

His body had wanted to jump, to recoil - he'd expected humans, overgrown, hairy, in this place, but this one... wasn't human. Reminded him of a bird. Strange blue eyes, alive and beautiful like bringing a gemstone to the sun. Couldn't be an enemy, offering water.

"Too much water."

He lay back down for a second, closing his eyes.

"Days of water."

He remembered himself and sat up, straight, without leaning against the wall, and bowed his head slightly forward, as he imagined he should.

"Thank you for kindness. Not Sib. Klikklak."

Klikklak couldn't explain why yet - but it was probably that this creature was as obvious an outsider as he - but he felt not quite a warmth (he would never know if his mother had shown warmth, or pride) but at least a dropping of his guard. He had not long left his tribe, and had soon found that the world was... more complicated than he had imagined. He did not understand people, but felt for a second that this did not matter.

"Not just water. Also a rat."

The birdwoman looked at him, head lightly cocked. It was impossible to discern if this was meant to be... humour?

Klikklak had been working on his Common since he'd last seen Thrush. Even managed at times to escape the straight and literal.

"Not Sib... Kli-"

"Yes. No time for corrections."

He looked round.

"Sorry for late. Not many of us. Many of them. Still not expert, but they appear angry..."

A village in danger in these cruel marches always seemed to attract the same crowd. Villagers with pitchforks, bandits with axes, and then what were clearly adventurers. Questers. Clearly good. So what in the name of Kur- in the name of all that was good had they been doing swinging Thrush up there?

Things had started off badly by arriving at the village in distress after the bandits had left; but given the current situation he'd been improbably fortunate that an ally had turned up late at the same time as him, and equally improbably unfortunate that said ally was even shorter than Klikklak himself. He found it difficult to trust the gnome; a deep part of him was sure Edgar would cut his throat if he got the chance, but now, once again, he was grateful for his presence. However, he had to admit that they did not make an imposing rescue force...

On a side note I do have homebrew spell that would make my character a lot more useful if it was allowed.

I already told myself to only allow five as a strict limit. Else, I'll allow six, and then seven, and then it's River of Death with 12 players.

Also: all active players, put in marching orders within your sheet so any sudden absence does not overly delay the game.

Izalith will always try to stay directly behind the biggest meatshield in the party. During combat she will attempt to run away to a safe distance [Outside the range of any enemy that can move and then hit her without charging.] and plink away at the enemy with her bow. She will not ever get more than 30' away from the closest member in the party however. If previous orders conflict attempt to get as far away as possible while still being within 30' of an ally.

Naturally, Janik is the biggest meatshield in the party, with a blistering 22 AC(during defensive stance, 20 otherwise). Whenever combat begins he'll charge into the middle of the biggest group of enemies, swat one with his sword, then enter defensive stance. Then full attack with his sword and shield or charge again until no enemies are left.

On a side note I do have homebrew spell that would make my character a lot more useful if it was allowed.

Well, basically it reverses the polarity on people's energy. So negative energy heals and positive energy hurts. I'll find it later when it would be relevant.

In order, makes undead and doesn't let you get healed, takes up a feat that could be better spent, and that's the first time I've heard of it but I'm fairly certain that it forces you to take something when you'd rather have something else.
