So they secretly built an underground fortress under a human town and nobody noticed?

Sounds familiar.

The article says "a group of like-minded individuals"...  I wonder if there were 7 of them initially...  :)

And yes, the sheer awesomeness is unimaginable. I believe it will take nothing short of DF v1.2 to surpass it.

This does in fact highlight something missing in DF...they are slaves to Armok, but you can't build any temples for them to worship in.

So, do we have any maps of this place? Because I totally want to replicate it.

Seems to be a map.

There's even an entire site, which includes many details about the artwork. Haven't found the maps, though.

Man, I'm packing a crapload of booze and some anvils into a horse wagon and going to this place right now. Fingers crossed that he created some equally masterful stone crafts.

Also of note: The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nation's Millenium General Assembly.

Composed of about 180 separate pieces, built of ordinary household junk intricately painted, detailed, and wrapped in gold and silver foil.

EDIT: It also menaces with spikes.

I will mod in plastic as a resource.  I will then tweak the Dwarven civ entry so that coins are only made out of plastic, and are called "credit cards".
I will make dwarves purchase things with bushels of credit cards.  It will be a mockery of both systems.
It will be stupid.  But it will be gloriously stupid.

For the good of all of us--except the ones who are dead. (But there's no sense crying over every mistake.)
