Awesome! I've been waiting for the fruit stuff since .40 was released. I wonder if the new thought stuff will tone down the tantrum spirals a bit?

Has anybody else noticed that movement isn't smooth anymore? It's like slightly laggy or stuttery.

It seems to be a bit stuttery now, definetly different than before, I think.

(*) As a stopgap, farm plot plants yield viable growths out of season upon harvest

1) So in places like glaciers, grown food will be scarcer?

2) What do you mean by "out of season"?  It's not exactly clear (at least to me).

Yes, you'll find out that the Urist happened to pick an apple that was friends with every other apple on the tree.  Now the whole tree is caught in a tantrum spiral!

For plant gathering zones, you can only pick fruit or berries during the limited time that they are on the plant (when the images change and you can see the growth in the loo[k] text).  But you can plant those same plants with seeds in your farm plots at any time, and pick them after the typical duration.  In that case, upon the regular harvest job, it'll just give you whatever useful product the plant grows.  It would be best to set the season variables or do an overall farm overhaul that makes the plants use the same system as their wild counterparts, but there wasn't time for that.

I'm not sure what you were considering with the glaciers.  I'm not sure they are effectively different from 0.40.13.

Ah.  I thought you'd meant that the harvests from underground farm plots would be reduced to compensate for getting more food from the surface.

We might have reached an apex of bounty before we start reeling some of it back over time now, unless some other random food source suddenly arises...
