Tale of a Junkbot
« on: October 25, 2014, 12:27:57 am »

Junkbot awakens and surveys its surroundings.
It is hanging from a stasis cradle, other inactive AI shells are nearby in identical cradles. It is pretty dark here, the only light coming from integration cables in the cradles. The gravity doesn't seem to be correctly below here, and is more askew then down. Junkbot duty set to vessel damage evaluation and repair.
Cradle awaiting disconnection.

Examine other AI shells for possible companion activation, disconnect if fully charged.

The other shells you can see are empty. Cradle disengages, Junkbot  hits the floor and teeters in unstable gravity. The gravity plating in the floor isn't stable enough to hold Junkbot to it for long, Junkbot falls over and slides off towards the offending stronger gravity and lands into a pile of broken AI shells and loose scrap parts. Junkbot corrects itself on the scrap pile. Junkbot diagnoses the gravity plating here is under powered.

The scrap contains many AI shell components, micro power cells, disconnected integration cable, cradle components, gravity plating components and scrap metals. Junkbot could try to fix things with this.

Junkbot attempts to fix the broken gravity plating. Connecting a cradle to power cells allows for a power tap with integration cable and the gravity plating system for this area. The gravity plating fully powered realigns the gravity and allows access to the 'upper' portion of the room. In the upper portion of the room is an open doorway leading to a more lit open area. Junkbot wanders in. The room contains a hull breach, light from a solar body can be seen upwards past several floors. There are similar rooms up through the hull breach. The doors in this section were sealed to contain fire or atmosphere, and are unresponsive from this side.

Junkbot climbs up to the outer hull, the gravity plating is functional enough to adhere. From the outer hull it is apparent that the ship has crash landed and is torn into several dozens of massive pieces, the likelihood of total ship repair is low.

It is the crash of a infantry supply ship, it is marred by weapon discharges, explosions, fire, anti material leakage, and weather degradation. It is likely this crash happening is not recent.
