Not much to report on this time around. The party continued it's mapping and exploration of the island, got attacked by beavers, considered eating said beaver, and was insulted by a devil child wearing purple. With not much further ado, they headed off to the Pokémon Center, where the nurse had her hands full.

: "No! Down! Settle down! Ack! *Pffft!*"

: "Kurruoooooouu! Kokoko!"

The resident Chansey ran around the pair in loud panicked circles as the Swellow and the Nurse grappled with one another in an ultimate showdown. The Swellow was on top of the desk flapping it's wings in hysterics. The nurse stationed herself on the floor, a syringe in one hand and another trying to get around the birds neck. Feathers or red, black, and white were strewn across the floor in a wide array, complimenting the chaotic scene.

Franklin spares the scene a glance. He didn't think there was any rush in getting his Pokemon healed, and was sure the nurse could tackle the bird without help, given enough time. The large man takes a seat to watch and wait.

Corrie gapes at the scene. She turns to Frank and Thomas. "Are... are you going to help?"

Unfortunately for the nurse, the Swellow was able to utilize it's vantage point well. The nurse made a valiant effort to reach her arm around the Swellow's neck for the syringe shot, but the bird countered by taking it's talons and swiping the syringe onto the ground behind the main desk. You can hear the glass vial containing what was no doubt a strong sedative shatter on the ground. The bird gave her a swift peck in her face for her efforts. [4] [??] Any chance for surprise is now squandered as the bird is now fully aware of your presence now as well.

The Chansey continues to panic, waving it's arms about ineffectually and screaming. All of it's years training at Kanto Medical School couldn't prepare it for this disaster.

"Aaaa... Bluk, get over there and use Sand-Attack! And help me out here, guys!"

On his trainer's command, [7] Bluk rushed forward and tossed some sand into the bird's eyes. Where usually the nurse found the sand that trainers tracked in from the beach inconvenient, it now struck her that having a bit of sand on the floor didn't hurt all that much. The bird crawed unhappily and started to try to get the sand out of it's eyes desperately by rubbing it's head against the table..

: "Ack! Careful! I'm trying to avoid giving it more injuries. Just... Give me a second here and- Chan-Chan! Would just stop it with the racket!?"

: "Kokokoko! KOKOKOKUROOOU!!!"

"Aaaa right I'm just trying to stop it from-- well, you know-- mauling you!"

The nurse makes the mistake of trying to talk on the job. She is quickly corrected by her superior.

: "I know, I know! Just give me one second an-"

*PLUFNKT!*

: "KUROOOOOU!!!"

*PLUFNKT!* *BAT!*

More feathers made their way to the floor. Chan-Chan begins to weep audibly.

: "God I hate you Chan-Chan!"

[Weirdsound]

Franklin just turns to the Bird, and shoots it a glare, using Mean Look and intimidate upon it. "You cut that out now," he instructs the Pokemon with a low and dangerous voice. Turns out the nurse might not have had the situation under control after all.

Lina looks on at the proceedings with some level of amusement. Sliding into a corner to avoid the bird and nurse.

The Swellow does not take Frank's Persian-like enthusiasm to the situation well. At all.

His Avian foe is clearly freaked out by his sudden entrance and stops buffeting the poor nurse to death almost immediately. It spreads it's wings wide, revealing one that the left wing had been bent at an odd angle before backing off further down the counter towards the PC. In it's haste it slips suddenly by putting it's foot on beveled edge of the countertop. [?] It cries out in surprise is unable to catch a grip in it's disorientated state. It tumbles off the edge of the countertop. As it goes, it's wing catches the end of the PC station and launches the monitor off of the desk. Bird and machine fall together in a tangled embrace. Glass scatters everywhere. The monitor did not survive impact. Swellow is positioned precariously on it's back, trying to get back up into a standing position.

The nurse turns away from the party and begins to root through cabinets of medicinal supplies.

Chan-Chan tries to grip it's large head with small arms. She fails.

Leaf looked on slightly stunned by what was happening, eventually though he managed to shake himself out of it and rushed forwards towards the Swellow to see if it was still ok after the monitor crashing down with it.

See that she was less likely to immediately be savaged by a bird or tranquilized by a nurse Lina moved forward again towards the bird. Making nonsense soothing noises she tried to get the bird to calm down before it managed to regain it's footing.

"Shuush shuush, it will be okay, calm down."
