"Ah dammit. GUYS, I FOUND CORRIE!"Thomas exclaimed, slowly approaching her and Bluk.

As Thomas approaches, Bluk growls as his tail whips back and forth. He does not seem at all pleased about the situation and seems prepared to fight at a moments notice. In response Kolya grips his trainer by the side of the head, as if attempting to steer Thomas back away from Bluk.

The Eevee will have to be dealt with in one way or another.

"Yeah! I know." Franklin shouts back. "She got caught fighting one of them on her own, and I couldn't go get her without risking letting some of the other jerks reach the main battle."

Franklin makes the Med Edu (2d6) to see if any of the goons can be brought around for questioning.

Spoiler: Med Edu (click to show/hide)

Frank goes around slaps each of the grunts on the main floor once or twice on the cheek roughly to get em moving. Unfortunately, most of them seem down for the count. Based on prior experience, you know that they are out cold. They'll wake up in about an hour or so.

In the upper section of the cave however, the hooligan by the name of Henry is at the very least conscious despite his burns and a rather nasty beak shaped indent on his forehead. From up above, he glares down and flips the bird at Frank, before plopping his head back against the main pillar.

Franklin flashes Henry the most nasty smirk he can manage. "Your buddies did quite a number to my friend Corrie... Don't mind if I head on up and return the favor, do ya boy?"

The large man doubles back to recall Capone, in case Henry tried something, before attempting to give the ropes up a good climb.

Spoiler: Climbing (click to show/hide)

Frank manfully grasps the rope and begins to climb, but his heavy set physique didn't quite manage make it up the rope before sliding down. Henry is less than impressed as he massages his burns.

: "Hmmph. She had it coming with that screechy voice of hers and that little fire prick. I'm glad she got hurt."

((Sorry for taking a full freaking week to remember to post.))

Seeing that Eevee needed to be calmed down. Lina slowly walked towards it. "Come on Bluk. We're Corries friends. You know us. I want to help her."

Falling action happened.

First Session:

Frank forces information out of the local grunt, Henry the Hooligan at the expense of relations with Celesta, the local Gym Leader. After utterly breaking his resolve, Frank and Lina are able to get him to spill all of his secrets.

First, he is apart of Team Anarchy, a group of foreign thugs that have shown dire interest in the Muse Islands. Using Rocket-made technology, Admin McKartney forced Pokémon to evolve before they're ready; which left them in a violent and powerful state between evolutions. They also learned the name of the group's dubious leader, Lennon, a man reported to have a silver tongue and a daring personality. Giles arrived soon after to apprehend them, cutting the interrogation session short.

1 TEXP was rewarded for RP action.

---

A few days later, Celesta had disappeared. Thomas went on a search for them, while Lina, Corrie, and Leaf discussed the tenuous situation on the islands. They are troubled by the sights they have seen, and are curious of whether they should report these things or not. Thomas' search eventually leads him to the Requisce Town bridge, where he surprises a mystery woman that he recognized from his childhood. Eleanore is introduced as a concerned citizen of the island, and Thomas knows her to be a traveler, perhaps like he currently is.

However, she was also quite opinionated at the state of Tonic island, stating that Celesta wasn't ready to be a Gym Leader. She did not seem to hold any love for the Pokémon League Association in her heard. Matron Memoria was also there, proving that she hadn't completely fallen off the world yet. The pair of them suggest searching the Gym for the wayward Gym Leader. The pair then continue their conversation in private.

Back at the Gym, the party finds a distraught Celesta crying inside. Her failures as a Gym Leader were pressing upon he greatly. The party was able to cheer her up however, convincing her that she isn't that terrible of a Gym Leader while Thomas contemplates going through a dead man's things. Regardless, Celesta bestows upon the party the Spirit Badge for their meritous efforts, though it seemed somehow incomplete. She asks the party to return someday, so that they can battle her for real. Celesta then happily points the party back to Giles, who greets them happily.

Giles states that he would train the party's Starter Pokémon for free; giving them a free egg/tutor move with none of the downsides. The party accepted this offer, with Kolya mastering Telekinesis, Bluk learning how to use Natural Gift, Mirage learning how to use Copycat, and Johann learning to use Barrier. Frank may choose to teach Bonnie either Simple Beam or Spite.

With that final bit, the Tonic Island Arc is over.

The Spirit Badge can be worn as a special item that gives either two shots of Metronome a day, or one shot of Metronome with 'increased chances'. Only one Badge can be used and worn at a time.

Moves are learned with no penalty to Tutor Points.

A ferry ship will be travelling to either Shanty Town or Halu-Halu City. You guys may choose either location to visit in the OOC Thread. Both cities have Gyms, Pokémon Centers, and other amenities. I'm prepared to run a session in either place, so it doesn't matter to me. The decision is yours!

((Laptop took a charge. I still need to get a replacement Power Jack, but I can at least get this started.))

Last session...

As the party was leaving Tonic Island, they were briefly stopped by Wendy, who had recovered enough to join the group as a member of their traveling band. Team Anarchy was the main subject and there was a debate as to whether or not the party plans to track or discover their motives. Regardless, their destination, Halu-Halu City promises to be very different from their past experiences.

Unlike Shanty Town or Requisce Town, Halu-Halu is a burgeoning city with a striving research and development background. The famed Halu-Halu Research Center stands as the town's primary attraction with the rest of the city backing it up with pride. Upon arrival, the Team Anarchy Grunts were whisked away into a holding center, leaving the party to go find the local Pokémon Center to finally call Spielzburg after their long bout with no technology. However! They are stopped by a quirky pair of twins, named Beat and Tell. They announced themselves as researchers at the research center and quickly challenged the party to a 4 on 4 battle. Though the PCs put on a good fight, they were eventually defeated due to the overwhelming offensive force presented by the twin's Pinser and Heracross.

Their battle obtained, the twins promised to first take the party to the local Pokémon Center, then meet them at the Research Center whenever they are done exploring the town. Corrie, having fell asleep part way onto the boat ride, joins the party now as the perky duo lead the documentary team to the Pokémon Center...

60(65? Check the OOC Thread) PEXP, to be distributed freely. 1 TEXP to all.

---

The sun shines down warm upon the black asphalt road. The two researcher twins walk side by side, taking up the majority of the side walk for themselves. Every once and a while, they giggle between themselves, as if sharing a joke that not quite everyone else understands. Regardless of that, they lead you to a new square, where a giant silver and metallic Pokémon is the centerpiece. You note that the buildings here are much larger than they were in the other towns, and the streets are populated with a few different citizens walking about here or there. You pass by one large building, then see the familiar orangish-pink façade of the Pokémon Center. The pair lead you inside, smiling to one another as they hand over their injured Pokémon to the nurse. Tell speaks first, followed by Beat in their peculiar sing-song fashion.

: "Here we are!"

: "You didn't even need a car!"

: "Well be up at the research center..."

: "Don't knock, just go on in and enter!"

: "We'll be waiting!"

With that, they turned and left, walking up towards the Research Center, which is now very close indeed to the north. The nurse at the counter smiles cautiously and wipes a bit of sweat off her brow as you enter the building. She issues her prepared statement with precision.

: "Welcome to the Pokémon Center! Here we can restore your Pokémon to perfect health!"

Franklin hands over Bonnie's Pokeball, offers the nurse a nod of gratitude, and takes the camera over to the corner PC with the intent to contact contact Spielzburg...

Frank squares himself in front of the PC. However, it doesn't seem to respond at all to mouse movements at all. Likewise, the input of the memory card for the video camera is also ignored. In fact, the entire screen is black as if the machine were somehow broken! Not again! You prepare to rage against the machine, when suddenly a Chansey appears and plugs the power cord in. The PC boots up successfully, displaying a clean Billware logo and a picture of a smiling Eevee. Finally, you once again have technology!

Plugging in the memory card automatically calls Spielzburg as usual. A few seconds later, his large puffy face fills the screen. His teeth nearly blinds you with their blindness.

"Hallooooo?! Frank! Ist zat you? Hallo mein Freund! Eet haz been zo long! I zot you vere dead!"

Franklin nods apologetically. "There was an accident that ruined the PC in Shanty Town, and then we spent a good deal of time on Tonic Island where there is no connection. Everybody is okay though, and we have alot of footage for you. Take a gander."

Spielzburg's head bobs up and down excitedly.

"Ja, ja, alles gutte! Let's zee ze footage zen!"

There is movement on the other side of the screen as Spielzburg excitedly reviews the footage with a master's eye. There are times where he smiles and times where he frowns slightly. He presses a key and turns back to Frank.

"Vell, vell... Zeese is odd. Mr. Frank? Vould you tell me who ze menschen een black are? Ze ones with the ze vierd haircuts und ze red stripe zings. Ze hooligans!"

Last session!

The group continued exploring Domini Island. It was a bit of a Talking session, so I'll just pass out the highlights.

Spielzberg made it rain 10,000 Poke for each player. He was then informed that phrase was no longer in use. At all. This made him sad. Good going guys. You made Spielzberg sad. I hope you're happy you monsters.

A slightly nervous Pokémon Center nurse was given the stinkeye by Frankie. What you nervous about gal. Is it Beat and Tell? Why so nervous?

A nearby Survival/Pokemart was found. Most basic survival items and a small variety of medicinals were made available for normal price. Which begs the question, why did Shanty Town have it's prices bumped up?

A Jewelry store was found! Inside was a display case labeled, "Evolution Stones!". However, Four pirates wearing tight clothing stole the shipment of the coast of Barbery Town. Blasted Pirates! Perhaps an investigation into the matter might not be a bad idea. They could have treasure!

Cookie's Food stand was selling fish. Cookie's Food Stand is run by a chef who should probably not actually be cooking. Woe! Will this ambiguously Swedish man ever learn to cook, or is he doomed to lose his business to highly questionable cooking tactics?

Madame Memoria was found! The party had a lengthy conversation with her, touching upon giving alcohol to minors, Thomas' repeated failings in Island Heritage and Culture class, and the legend of the Sea Princess, matriarch of the Muse Islands. Her line existed for many years until they were driven from power by foreign powers. Now it is said that whoever does remain lives on Guiding Island surrounded by Whirlpools. Madame Memoria doesn't recommend visiting. Clearly, this means visit the island when the time comes.

Finally, the concept of Adventure Houses were explained. Conga, the company's founder created the Adventure Company as a way for visitors to really get their hands dirty and experience the islands for themselves. The Adventure House works as a medium between small groups and businesses to set up unique trips and Pokémon Exploration activities. In particular, they've set up shop running a Safari Zone off of Median Island, known for it's local wildlife. For just 1000 Poke person, they'll transport the PCs over to the islands for a unique adventure.

I should state, that no owned Pokémon may be taken on the trip with you. However, you'll have plenty of opportunity to bond with wild ones, and perhaps form a new team for the Adventure's duration. So if you are a more, train yer mons kind of trainer, you're still going to have plenty of opportunity to use that side of your kit as well!

With that, the team has explored the city and is ready to check out the Institute. Science awaits!

A short summary!

Last, last week's session was derailed by sudden Swedish Chef related violence. Frank Ziti was arrested in the incident and was briefly jailed as a consequence.

+1 TXP to all session players

+2 TXP to Frank and Corrie for creating an interesting IC situation that I'm fairly certain no one saw coming.

+ 70 PEXP is also awarded for those who participated in Chef Combat.

---

Last Week's session put us back on the rails with a League ex Machina. Frank was released from jail with a stern warning of, don't do it again and the entire crew has been put under review by the powers that be.

In the meantime, the party set up a Safari Zone game to take place next session and visited the Pokémon Research Institute. There, they met the eminent and grumpy Professor Palm, learned a little bit about pheromones, and assisted in calming down an old, angry, and feathery friend. After that, they paid the Professor one last visit to Palm. He already had guests in the form of three kids, Jimmy, Rose, and Ivy; three trainers seeking their 'starter' Pokémon. After much frustration, bickering, attempted theft, and assorted boos and hissing noises, they finally were able to get the situation resolved once and for all. The three received their starters and went on their way, leaving a slightly more happy Professor Palm to more cordially greet his guests.

He allowed them five questions. First was what was his research? He explained that he is an Evolutionary Psychologist. Why here? He's getting paid for the professor gig. How is the research going? Not well, since he's been distracted by other issues. What other issues? The sudden uprising of aggressive Water Pokémon. Why was this happening? He didn't have the answer. So he allowed one more question. That being what he thought of the League's annexation of the Muse Islands.

This got him talking. Professor Palm does not think highly of the League's annexation efforts and fears that the islanders are beginning to chafe under it's efforts to quickly add the region to it's fold. They are ignoring big things, like the sudden uprising of Team Anarchy. He hopes that situation will be resolved, but it is not his place to get involved with politics. So he waits.

With this new outlook in mind, the party left the Research Institute with a few new things to think about...

+2 TEXP to all players since it was a long one.

+1 TEXP to Lina/Criptfeind for the handling of the Swellow situation.

---

That should be it! I'll see most of you this Sunday hopefully, and we shall run the Safari Session!
