Lina's Charm! Roll(3d6)+4: 10

Unfortunately for nearly all parties involved, the bird was not dead, but merely stunned. Swellow takes initiative to get back on it's feet. Lina momentarially distracts it with kissy faces and soothing words. But it's just too filled with confusion and abject rage! It prepares to strike at Lina with it's beak!

"Pleaaaugh!"

: "Kokoko?"

"Pleeah?!"

: "KOKOKOKOKOROOOOOOU!!!"

It changes targets, hopping off towards the door after Wurmple! Wurmple splays it's tiny legs in every direction as it panics. Behind the desk, the nurse emerges with a new syringe in hand. She plants a foot on the front desk and prepares to vault over it with a demonic look in her eyes as she grins savagely and points at the bird.

: "Get back here! This syringe is going in your neck!"

The nurse prepares for a flying tackle! [?] Unfortunately, she doesn't get as far as the tackle and tumbles forward over the front desk and clips into Chan-Chan. The two fall together in a tangled embrace as the nurse says some rather explicative things about her co-worker. The syringe skitters on the ground towards the entrance but is mercifully unbroken.

[Kansa]

Leaf did his best to reach the Wurmple before the bird struck again, if he got there in time he would throw himself in between the Bird and the Worm using his body to block the assault.

[Powder Miner]

"Uuuuum, Bluk! Uh... Baby-Doll Eyes!"

[Taricus]

Thomas, who had been mostly watching the entire proceeding with a rather unsubtle expression on his face displaying his enjoyment for it. Up until the nurse tackled the chancey. Anyone close by could just hear him starting to quietly laugh at the entire predicament.

Bluk goes ahead and shoots Swellow eyes of love. [12] But love is not enough to conquer in this situation and Swellow  Leaf gets in front of Wurmple and shields her from damage as a bright glow of light envelops her! Swellow staggers back in surprise!

Suddenly, a new combatant joins the fray. A tiny flash of yellow finally does what everyone should have done ages go and [10] stabbed the syringe into the birds neck with Psychic Force!

: "Koko! Kokoko! Koooooo..."

*Plomp*

: "..."

Kolya sits cross legged on the unconscious bird. Chan-Chan is rolling on the ground and unable to get up. Feathers strewn the ground intermixed with glass.

The nurse is not a happy camper.

[Taricus]

"Nice one Kolya." Thomas said, somewhat bemused the the entire situation, and fairly impressed at Kolya's handiwork.

[Kansa]

Leaf let out a sigh of relief as she saw the bird finally collapse, he gave a smile towards the Abra.
"Thank you" he then turned to see what had happened to the Wurmple

Kolya teleported over to Thomas right shoulder. He shot Thomas an image of one of the nurses thoughts about plunging the syringe into the Swellow's neck. He seems to have figured out that was the right idea from her.

Wurmple... Was no longer Wurmple! A silky cocoon-like Pokémon had taken it's place. She was still shivering just a little bit. Inside the center, the nurse was just beginning to stand up. Her first move was to grab the bird and to plant it down on the counter. She didn't bother using the normal side door and just slid on top off the desk into the nurses station. As she gathers up a few restraints, she begins to speak.

: "W-welcome to the Pokémon Center. Here we can r-restore your Pokémon to f-full health. Chan-Chan, would you please go make yourself useful and GET THE BROOM?!?"

Chan-Chan put it's hands to it's face and disappeared into a small alcove.

[Powder Miner]

Corrie had to take a moment to process what had happened.
"Um..."

[Taricus]

"If I may be honest, what in the world was that bird doing here anyway?!"

: "S-some kids had me bring it in. They told it me it was lying out in a field on the island and wasn't moving. Usually a Pokémon will recover from a battle just fine on it's own. They'll wake up after an hour or so and run off to hide for a few days. But this one was heavily injured, so it wasn't healing up like it should. We don't see cases like this often, so I decided to bring it back to the center. I don't think either of us knew just how feral this particular Pokémon was... This isn't normal behavior..."

Chan-Chan returns with a broom and pan a few seconds later. It begins to collect the glass slowly with a despondent look on it's face.

[Criptfeind]

"Poor little guy, maybe it's sick? I'm sure you'll be able to help it though." Lina said as she walked over to a bench and sat down to wait for the others to get their pokemon healed.

[Taricus]

"Well, looking at it you'd think it had been eating a lot less that what it should be. It's probably badly malnourished."

[birdy51]

The nurse starts to working on bandaging up the Swellow tightly.

: "It's not just malnourishment. Something else is wrong. Pokémon just don't act like this. It's like... Something messed with it's head. At any rate, I'm not treating her here. I don't have either the resources or the patience for an extreme case like early bloomer. I'm shipping her off to Halu-Halu City first thing tomorrow morning. They've got a research laboratory that can take care of her... Other issues."

[Criptfeind]

"Oh? Halu-Halu city has a research laboratory? Sounds like it must be a pretty big city?"
