With a quizzical glance, Demétrio attempts to discern the political opinions of the masked figure, specifically their feelings towards shooting people who come in through the door, which, somehow, was the most prominent dichotomy in the bar's demographics. Briefly, he had made a presumption that perhaps the vizard was for a carnivale or masquerade perhaps, though their lack of company did make it quite clear that such was likely not the case.

It was somewhere along in this internal deliberation that he had noticed that he was about to perform a traditional greeting out of curiosity alone. Unfortunately as surface-dwellers usually did not take kindly to strangers plonking down at their table and casting weak love spells at them, such an action was ill-advised to say the least. Thus en-route to an otherwise unwitting diplomatic incidentee, he abruptly pivoted mid-stride and changed course to the nearest unoccupied table.

He's been standing there long enough that he's now being stared at by the masked person.

[Empiricist]

Demétrio decides that the best course of option was just to sit down and deny that anything happened in the hopes that his counterpart would eventually decide upon a similar course of action. Soon afterwards, he begins regretting that decision seeing as his choice in seating still put him in approximate eye contact with the figure.

The figure seems to be studying him now. He seems to betray no emotion as he does so.

[Empiricist]

The masked man would eventually find himself being examined in turn, though in this case, the attaché was more concerned with the possbility that he was carrying a firearm or similarly lethal implement on his person more than anything else.

Apart from the fairly visible sword on his waist, nothing. Judging by the man's posture, they don't seem intent on drawing said sword and are just curious as to whatever the hell Demetrio's supposed to be.

((Pimp dolphins. Heheh.))

[Empiricist]

Taking a large gulp of water and evidently disheartened by his previous decision to order a non-alcoholic beverage, Demétrio wanders over to the figure. "Good day to you, sir. May I help you?"

"....Hm?"

[Empiricist]

I believe you were examine me for a hitherto unknown reason. Was I perhaps, mistaken?

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"No, you were not. I...was simply curious. I apologise if I troubled you."

[Empiricist]

"No, that was not an issue, I was merely troubled somewhat by the tense atmosphere of this establishment and worried that my curiosity towards your, er, somewhat concealed appearance had caused offense or somesuch."

((It may take a bit longer for me to respond now since I'm typing up a short story currently.))

"There is no issue there. I'm used to being stared at for my appearance."
