So here's what we've been up to:
Release date: We've had to push our release back to Q1 of 2015 for financial and quality reasons. The decision was based on the fact that there was no reason to rush the product out of the door if it was just going to put a strain on the team. Especially during an already stressful time of year.
Publishers/Partnerships: Game industry publishers have been surprisingly interested in seeing Triple X Tycoon come to fruition. Our motives in pursuing additional funds by taking the traditional route is based around the scope of what we're trying to do here. While it is absolutely possible to create the game start to finish the indie way, this increases the risk on our already risky project to an uncomfortable level. We plan to continue supporting and following up this release without severely weakening the company in the process.
Interesting enough, the majority of the publishers we've come to terms with have been European while only names outside of the games industry are taking up negotiations with us here in the US. We believe this will ultimately lead to a better game.
The demo: As a result of what we've already mentioned we do plan to release the demo sometime this month(December). In the meantime we still have some decisions to make regarding the UI, random events and other occurrences that might take place. Immediately prior to or following the release of the demo we plan to make an announcement that should specify whether or not we'll be moving forward with a publisher or not and what that means for the game.
Regarding the nudity issue, we found a solution. Thanks for the suggestions! Stay curious.
