I think Angelo is completely oblivious to it all cos his parents crack down on any immoral games or films. Hence why he isn't deriding any of this, thinks it's cool to wear a nurse's outfit to Halloween, etc... His parents attempted whitewashing of reality has actually caused him to not actively hate the idea of homosexuality and cross dressing simply because he doesn't doesn't realise it's a thing and doesn't think its wrong respectively.

This is going to get so bad when we become adults isn't it. This game went from survival horror to ships everywhere pretty fast.
