I just went ahead and chose the strangest supernatural creature I came across (well, second strangest after vampiric fruit), namely some sort of reverse weredolphin that people fear will drag them off into a utopia where all are wealthy and neither pain nor death exist. No, I have no idea why people fear something that sends them to paradise of all places.

• Description: Demétrio's appearance is rather, idiosyncratic, to state it kindly. In blunter terms, it is an exercise in absurdity in which each aspect seems to be actively hostile towards the others. Dressed in Victorian attire colored in a rather inappropriately vibrant spectrum of hues, his fashion taste seems to be unsure of whether he is meant to be a refined gentleman of the 19^th Century, or a flamboyant pimp from modern times. The grimly neutral expression upon his stoically unoffensive countenance does not help delineate any identity from that mess. A matter worsened by the fact that being in possession of both the physique and approximate complexion of a Michelangelo statue really just contributes further to the overall problem.
  
• Background: Whilst one may seize what they sought, it is what they sought no longer. If one's desire was truly satisfied, it would be their ultimate destruction - for there is nothing else to exist for; like a moth drawn to a fatal flame. Thus is is perhaps unsurprising that the denizens of a world where all are wealthy, where the very concepts of pain and death alike cannot ever exist, crave the hardships their existence lack. It is due to this very reason that upon his second apostasy, Demétrio Santana sought a new life, not as a visitor but as a denizen of the surface world. His profession as a commercial attaché was gained more through raw enthusiasm than actual qualifications. Though then again, considering that Enchante is effectively the economist's equivalent of R'lyeh and seems to solely export illegitimate children, it may not even be physically possible to be qualified to represent it in financial terms. Due to his choice of career, Demétrio possesses an oddly restrained personality seeing as, peculiar as it were, surface-dwellers made a legally (and therefore diplomatically) important distinction between one's own feelings and those feelings as influenced by external sources such as love spells. Why arbitrarily regulating something that is primarily based around external sources to discriminate against some of those sources indeed escaped his understanding, nonetheless as one who now feels quite obligated to hold personal appearances in good standing.

    • Love Spells: Induces love in the target towards what the caster chooses. Can range between mild affection to full-blown obsession that results in insanity and/or death. This functions by temporarily raising the levels of certain substances in the target (so in a human, it would be dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin) that produce feelings of love. Consequently, it does take a bit of time for a spell to take full effect and there is a delay between the spell ceasing and the effects wearing off.
      
    • Transformation: An innate Encantado ability that allows the user to switch between being a human and being a dolphin. The caster's hat will still be in place afterwards.

    • Tophat: A hydrophobic hat bearing nanopillars on its surface that slowly tear apart the membranes of bacteria, making it passively anti-bacterial.

This is slice of life, but without the overly-excessive detail in vaguely NSFW stuff every other thing we've ever done has.

Two characters are at a cafe on a date, one being a closet conspiracy theorist. Everyone else is at a bar called the Tasteful Club, owned by the local equivalent of the Mafia.

As for plot, my characters are from the Kingdom of Teppelin, ruled by one character (also mine) from the last game and taking a detour here, one character's a runner for the aforementioned local Mafia, we've just had a djinn be released after 10,000 years in the said bar.

Well, I'd see your point about the paradise thing if it actually sent people to paradise. But not having pain OR pleasure forever? That's like living in a very subtle hell.

Part of the issue was there wasn't really much half the characters could do.

Bar was designated the main meeting area for some reason.

Valri/Valrik had literally no reason to go to the bar. Both technically underage and neither find drinking pleasant.

Then there were all the random characters everywhere doing random shit alone.

Probably would have gone better if there was an actual overarching plot at least sorta planned so the characters actually had a reason to interact.
