Caravan arrived but no caravan?

Howdy. I had a human caravan and liaison arrive. I saw the carts trudging across the map. I went off and did some stuff, the liaison talked to me, etc.

I went to the trade depot and was able to tell my trader to come to the depot. And he does. He's been hanging out. Autotrader has moved all my goods to the depot. However, there's no trade to be done. "There are no merchants trading right now." Normally, I can't call my trader to the depot unless there's merchants there, yes?

I don't know where they went. They don't show up on the (u)->other listing.

What happened? Bug?

They probably got scared away by an animal. Also, you can call traders to the depot any time.
