"When one is likely to go down in the history books as evil it is very hard to not do so. In my case, at least, I'm attempting to explain what happened and why. I suppose I could sum it up with a simple phrase: The ends justify the means."

"Evil is not my concern, but my survival and perhaps even my friends survival as well would be on top of my priorities. I can suggest my ability of the eldritch arts to support your campaign, and more so if you happen to wish to strike out at the empire, for all it needs is a new enemy."

[Nerjin]

"Strike at the Empire? Fool. I'm trying to save the Empire!"

”Why? If you are so powerful as to save it, what would stop you from then taking it, good sir?”

[Nerjin]

"Common sense."

[Kassire]

"So you attempt to save the empire by creating an undead army? I assume you plan to create some sort of force to keep the Empire whole, meaning fighting demons and rebels. One must say that you are quite... Capable? Or you have above-average courage." Venena then pauses for a moment and smiles,
"What would the empire think of you killing and burning entire villages and towns to create an undead army, clearly once they see you they would think you an enemy and attack. Hard to save someone attacking you."

[Nerjin]

"Oh, I went into this expecting that. Every man, woman, and child who dies will die for a greater purpose. A few cities will be destroyed yes but once I can start destroying Rebel cities I will be able to roll over them. If they kill one of my soldiers the soldier stays dead. If I kill one of theirs? I gain a soldier. It's neccesary to fight off the demons and rebels. Better the death of a few than the death of all."

[Flying Dice]

"You know, I can't help but wonder if you don't have a motive beyond the one you're so eager to share."

Staaaaare.

[Nerjin]

"What do all great men want? A place in history assuredly. But I am not a great man. I only want the safety of the Empire."

[Silthuri]

"Your alliances seem to be on the wrong side. If you intend to use the dead, you belong with the undead hoards. They'd love you. The Empire is... unappreciative of people with such power."

[Nerjin]

"The Undead Hordes are run by a grief stricken woman who has gone insane. There's no future to it. The Empire... The Empire will bring peace to this land."

[Silthuri]

"If your Empire is so powerful, why do you use the servants of Mortis to achieve your goals? Shouldn't you be plotting with angels and the like?"

[Nerjin]

"We've been over this. Why risk Empire troops when Rebel Corpses will do just as well? Either way, I tire of this. I suppose you expect me to make a grandiose speech before attempting to recruit you. Well let's skip that. Instead I'll just leave you here with my minions while I go attend to more pressing matters. Any last words before I leave? It's only fair for me to listen as this plan wouldn't have come together without you."

[Silthuri]

"What a waste of talent..." Devon mumbles as she grips her scythe tighter, preparing for the coming fight.

"Or soon to be wasted, at any rate," Sharos snorts, still eying the dark alleyways.
