Fusion is unpredictable, and makes more sense in hindsight. Previous experiments Seem to indicate factors in the parts can cause wildly different results in fusion and separation.
SOME recipes have much more predictable results however, likely the reason why some fusion recipes have esoteric ingredients, that ensure a particular kind of payout.
Moss Spores + Paper = Pinata lichen spores, these will grow in a damp warm place to cover a surface in colorful confetti. It eventually converts what it grows on into candy.
Ghost Muscle + Inhale = "Death Eater" a spell that sucks up death mana from a target, concentrating it in the user.
Ghost Muscle + Raw Force = a scroll containing Soulful Pose, an ability in which the user poses, releasing a wave of spirit energy that knocks back some foes.
Ghost Muscle + Designate Object = Equalize, Restores a target using energy from nearby undead, this deals damage to the living, but heals all others.
Ghost Muscle + Ancestral Wrath = Ancestral Power, a spell that draws strength from the user's bloodline, it does not work if the user does not know of, or is not favorable to their bloodline.
Ghost Muscle + Psychotite mana = Allure of the Grave, absorbs a weakened or controlled undead and grants it's power and abilities to the user for several days.
Ghost Muscle + Normal mana = Empowered Ghost muscle, A much stronger version of Ghost muscle that also requires additional Focus
Inhale + Mana = "Deep breathing", A spell that draws additional mana out when necessary, it can only be used a limited number of times a day, and is unhealthy to abuse.
Mighty Flex + Aluminum mana = A scroll containing Stellar Pose, an Ability that Keeps the user in the air so long as they are posing, it requires about as much effort as holding oneself up would, in terms of Elbow grease Spent.
Seed of Forbidden Fruit of Lust + aluminum can = Empty can of "Inhibition-away" Claims on the can state that it can loosen up anything...
Seed of Forbidden Fruit of Lust + Transmute Area = Territorial Maneater Seed, a plant which claims an area about an acre wide, and overgrows it, capturing anything that enters it's territory and harvesting their energy.
Empty can of "Inhibition-away" + Territorial Maneater Seed = Wingman Seed, Which according to Wailascopography, grows into a plant that provides a number of things to get a date, from a functioning bar to alcohol, Drugs, unsavory things, and smooth lines, Before consuming both the Ally and Date horribly once it's mission is complete.
Soil + Transmute Area = Dirt Brush, a large staff tipped with a muddy brush that can paint an area over with dirt.
Gourd Seed + water = Mudcup seed, a plant that grows into a bush of Tan roses filled with Water and dirt that often find things growing in them as well. The Vines harvested from them become very stiff in a day, letting them be shaped into rudimentary tools and weapons, provided the thorns are removed from areas that need to be held. the petals hold medicinal properties as well, and the roots are rich with minerals.
Fuming lily pad + Mudcup seed = Thoughtbulb seed, A Lilypad known for remembering the thoughts of those around it, and revealing a secret within it's closed bulb on a moonlit night a month after maturing. However, the day before, It can be cut open to reveal a more mundane plasma that can cure mania and panic.
Wingman Seed + Dirt Brush = Dirty Dryad Seed, a Seed that grows into a Filthy bum wiht a love of art who is both helpful and humble, the dryad emits an aura of disgust, making living things despise being around it.
You unearth your gourdberry bush and fuse it with a spell bubble containing Transmute area. This gives you a small satchel of powder that resists identification.
Fusing the Thoughtbulb Seed with the satchel of powder gets you a Circlet that once again resists Identification.
Finally, you fuse the Circlet with Soil, obtaining a similar circlet with a slightly tarnished tintish tint.
You use up some of your remaining fuel to get enough mana to finish it, leaving you with exactly none.
You set the Mining bot to Refine Manganese, It should have a couple of pounds ready by the time you read this.

You have had good luck with merchant beetles before, This might be a fine opportunity to turn your Trash into cash.
The beetles seem to recognize you, maybe a scent marker or means of communication among particular groups? Either way they reveal their wagons, and judging from what non-vocal info you can garner, it seems to be free game so long as you make some good offers.
