Maybe our blood spear would have a similar effect?

This is either the effect of the blood, the lightening, a combination of the two, or something else we're missing. if we have some platinum on hand, and can channel through it with any real speed, I would give that a try and see if electricity is what we're after. If we can find a way to launch blood around, that would be good too.

You have a sample of every material you have encountered embedded in your Halfstaff with very few exceptions.

Things that you couldn't reliably get a sample from, Blood orb, Sustained spell orb, Liquids, and substances that are exclusively part of a certain item are one.

Looks like we have a new channeling experiment.

bouncing mana off a sustained spell orb......this could be big!

if the mana becomes the spell that's being sustained you could have instant reusable spells, even ones that would normally take time to pull off.

I wonder if we could compress sustained spells into different shapes? like cards or crystals

For now I think we could just bounce mana off platinum for lightning, unless the difference between lightning and "blood lightning" is significant...

Also, forget leaving for loot now, we have a boss battle to fight! Trinkets can wait until we steal Johnny's soul and use him to power our moving fortress

If Bigbot is a priority target, then perhaps it should be protected...

Didn't someone say something about the loot room collapsing when we defeat Johnny?

He is the only one that can open it if I remember correctly.

The leaving was't for the loot anyway, it's for the lava, so we can do my elaborate summoning ritual.

Honestly, I think the summoning ritual is much too risky. We don't know whether the spirit exists, or whether it would work for or against us when summoned. The summoning is likely to end as a deadly backfire which at best wastes all our mana and at worst gets all of our minions killed.

I would approve of summoning Fenrir, since we know he'll be on our side, but creating a body for some random volcano god is just plain reckless.

Don't worry abaut that, I have it worked out, and it's not random. For one, with it, our non character minions are expendable. The one risk is it might destroy some loot, but we'll be able to check that first.

Some of our minions are expendable, but others took time and resources to make. Plus, Valeric might have plot armor, but a near-death experience could easily weaken him or separate him from materials and minions.

If you think the lava god exists, is more powerful than Fenrir, and would fight for us, I'd like to see some evidence so I can at least see whether the risk/reward ratio is worthwhile. As of now, Fenrir is a perfectly fine summon we know will obey. I choose that over theatrics or a whim any day.

I'm actually reasonably certain that we don't have Plot Armour, and the whole reason for taking on a Max Difficulty dungeon was to acquire some.
