Loot the corpses/unconscious people.
There is nothing of interest on hat guy's body, and Xinon didn't really have anything good on him, either. Both of them seem quite dead, although there's also the off chance that they'll be one of those annoying plot-important guys who can survive losing all their hit points like three times.
Put the zwei in our inventory along with the hat, tie the green bandana to our left bicep. Grab the artist formerly known as Hatguy by the collar and shake him. What's in the buckets? Talk! Is it babby koalas? Are you trafficking stolen marsupials you scum?! Slap him.
The hat guy was, unfortunately,
struck down when Xinon knocked the table over and
struck the hat man in the head with the table leg, shattering the skull, jamming the skull through the brain, tearing the brain! You go through with the other things, though. Inexplicably, picking up Randolph caused all the gold leaf to mysteriously crumble off and be carried away by a draft, revealing its almost-as-ineffective-looking silvery blade and a green hilt.
Dual-wield both weapons. Shank the hat guy.
Dual-wield a katana and a zweihander? What the hell do you think you are, a 20th-level ranger? The best you can do is hold Randolph.
Search the building.
There's nothing really interesting in this room, but in the next room, there's a lot of interesting stuff.
What you see first are the large number of bags and bins full of sugar, one of which contains several blood stains and a punctured arm sticking out of it. Bucket guy is nowhere to be seen, but his buckets and bucket-stick are on the ground. There is also a familiar face from the old country: Ulap, Jakuna's most well-known general, with his old sword leaning against the wall. Most striking is the giant, circled J, written in blood, on the wall. The sign of Jakuna.
Of course. Jakuna can't stand to not run criminal enterprises, and is smuggling sugar out here.
"Ah, eef eet eez not the old friend of mine. Meiyo, how is the holding of up?"
