I ran into another of those "vehicle is stuck" problem but this time i can't figure out what is causing it :

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Train has 8 cars that can transport up to 96t of fishes
At that point the train has loaded 84t of fish and stopped doing so
The 4 stations are still having 260t of fishes.

The food factory has this pond as a provider and at that point of the game the food factory has 0t of fishes, so no overcrowded problem.
There are 4 stations too at the food factory too.
I checked the whole railroad to see if there was an obstacle (as it can sometime happen if you linked to railroad without clicking inside the existing rail ), and there's none, it's mostly straight without turns and there's no multiple rails connecting or any signals.

The train refuse to charge more despite it can (and must as i set the loading to 100%) and so will not move.

As you sure the train fits in the station? If the last car is sticking out, I don't think it will load.

When I played this many years ago I had the same problem with trainsbeing too long.

As for my experience with this version(using BritainPak128), transporting beer is not anywhere near as profitable as I thought it would be. It might have been the truck(a yellow cargo truck available in 2000, I forget the name), which had a loss whether it transported beer to the station right next to the brewer, or one 1/3rd of the map away. A bigger tractor trailer moving beer to that latter one made a profit, but oversupplied it. Switching between that an another one halfway across the map made a smaller profit and didn't oversupply.

Beer wasn't profitable, but petrol holy shit was. An oil platform was close enough to shore to build a truck stop(no need for ships) to an oil refinery. Right now, two or three trucks are supplying the refinery, and about five or six trucks are moving petrol to the gas stations that are getting beer. I'm nowhere near at the capacity any of them can handle but the profits are crazy.

Buses seem to bring a profit, but the buses are crazy expensive and profits aren't reliable. I haven't seen any city growth in a year's playtime. Do I need mail too?

You need to transport mail and passengers to get a city to grow, yeah. And growth is pretty small too, so it can take a decade before the extra population actually does anything... I'd complain about growth being one of the more disappointing mechanics of the game, but I'm pretty sure that I can tweak how it works to my liking, so... Eh. I've just not tweaked it enough, obviously.

That could be it as i was building my stations with a " 1 station for each 2 cars " and it has worked for all the trains i have used so far, but if the stick out visually is what explains the problem, the 1 station for each 2 cars is wrong for some trains (longer sprites ?) and player then need to check visually.

Found out that if you're using road transport that has multiple other stations to deliver passengers, never ever force a minimum load to any of the stations.

The reason is that when you're not lucky (and that happens often at least to me from my test), you can have a bus station filled with people wanting to go on a specific town, but the first couple of busses that reach that station aren't going there, and so they block your whole traffic forever.
And due to that the busses that go actually where those annoying passengers want to go will never be able to reach the stations.

And in something like pak128 in which busses are giving so very few money in comparison to their maintenance and cost that they're a great way to go bankrupt, that's even worse.

If you're playing in experimental, turn on convoy spacing, and the bus will leave when it gets to its minimum load or at its scheduled departure time. In standard minimum load is dangerous unless you ensure deadlocks are impossible.

I wish convoy spacing was in the regular version, as it sounds great, often i tried to launch bus separately but they always end getting closer and closer, to the point of when one bus load, the 2nd one has nothing to load and waste money  following the other one from too close.

I'll have to check it one day.

Check my post about simuconf. You can tweak it all.

I've got mail and passengers, but still zero growth.

You might need intra-city stops, too.

Is the a tab or tool for letting me know where passengers with no route want to go? Or do I have to guess?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

No route passengers doesn't display where they (can't) go. Usually it is all the places - the game has a bias so passengers prefer closer destinations early on, until late game at 2000's where they can pick anywhere. Hooking up large cities is a sure way of reducing the number of no route.

Heh, now I have a bit of a different problem. Buses are piling up at my main stop, and I can't quite seem to figure out the congestion. any tips?
