^^You might discover more armored vehicles and whatnot in the game. The starter tank is meant to be the mainstay.

For all I dislike Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, it had an interesting look at a world with modern tactics but analog systems (some virus ate all the silicon). The VTs, or Vertical Tanks, are clunky diesel powered machines, but the designers did the best they could (CRT displays, vacuum tubes, etc.)
That's pretty much what I'm going for here with this tank! Yeah that game looked crap but the idea itself is just so cool.

You're on a thin single lane highway that stretches off in a straight line in either direction before and behind. Built for remote operated trucks, there isn't a dead vehicle nor living soul in sight, the last deliveries having been carried out years ago when the industry halted. If you were facing ahead, you would see a megacity block looming distal upon the grey and intermittently rumbling horizon. The sun is nowhere to be seen, obscured by the darkened sky. The smell of ozone permeates the air and it's sure to rain before the day is out. The tank's engine is idling and there's a balmy breeze wafting in from the west.

Zeitboro swings the hatch of 12 open, breathing in the fresh air and delicious tang of ozone. A quick puff of air into the microphone to makes sure that the Combat Vehicle Crewman helmet is picking up and she addresses the crew.

"Well gentlemen, the sun's not shining but it's a bright new day. We're low on water, food, ammunition, weaponry, tools, parts, and even the goddamn coffee. Let's secure stations and roll out."

After a moment's silence, she applies her boot to the head of the gunner, not too terribly hard. "Oi, Dolivich. Jump out and switch the hull MG ammunition into your coax."

Rolf grumbles, "Bah! Keep your feet to yourself, I'm going, I'm going! No need for kicking." He continues his annoyed mumbling as he goes out to switch the ammo around, though it's under his breath and thus too quiet to properly make out.

Put the ammo from the front MG into the turret MG.

((I assume that this is what Zeitboro is yelling at him to do. Also, if I have to pick two skills... It's going to have to be Artillery and Science, simply because Zeitboro  already knows her way around a computer.))

((Oops! I didn't mean to leave the choose thing in there, I went with these fixed skills in the end. :p If you want +2 arty or science instead of having a bit of skill in compies then I'm fine with that.))

((Heh. I'm fine with having the spread of skills as they are right now, actually. The jack of all trades thing Rolf has suits him well, I think,))

"Always the slave driver aren't you? Don't blame me when Rolfy-Boy there gets tired of having your boot pressed against the back of his head, and decides to dump you out the tank."

Anston said as he combed through his small stack of cassette tapes, and pulled out one labeled 'Captain Morgan's Revenge - Alestorm'.

Mumbling under his breath as the song started up he said,

"Yeah, this one should be fitting enough indeed ..."

Wait for the Commander and Rolf to finish moving around munition and such.

Zietboro whistles to the music, running through a diagnostic on all the systems and jumping to the top to check over the TC weapons station.

"As if any've you would manage to keep knowing what to do without me. Everyone ready to begin movement?"

After Rolf finishes loading the ammo into his gun, he scrambles up the side of the tank to return to his assigned seat. He grunts affirmatively, "Yes, yes, let's go already! We can save the bickering for later, else it would be nightfall before we got going. We should be off already, before some mealy-eyed lowlife steals all of the good loot! Bah!" As he continues his grumbling, he pulls out of one of his bent cigarettes from his hat and twirls it between his fingers for a couple moments before stuffing it back in its pocket with some angry muttering.

"First thing first though we need to get a look at our surroundings."

Check out the surroundings and see whats nearby, and see if I can recall anything of importance nearby.

((Sorry for the delay :( ))
