Nicolas Cage
« on: October 13, 2014, 09:13:21 pm »

I was browsing the forums today with a mate and he commented that us B12ers seem to have a messed up fetish fascination of Nic Cage. He seems to make appearances in most threads in "The most random contexts" as my mate said. Can anyone explain this phenomenon to me. Otherwise I guess this will turn into a Nicolas Cage discussion/hatred/appreciation page.

Thanks

Well, to try to actually answer your question (although I'm not really a authority on the subject). The internet as a whole went though a nicolas cage meme period, the heaviest part feels like a few years ago. I'm lost as to the root cause, but I would guess it's his unintentionally comedic acting and strange looks? In any case, nicolas cage stuff is just sorta one of the many things that happens on the internet, bay12, being part of the internet, sometimes gets some of it, although I don't believe that bay12 has a over abundance of it compared to the average.

Edit: Although that said, I don't read the upper boards. I wouldn't be surprised to learn if they were currently flooded with three year old nicolas cage memes for some reason.

Someone found a nickel cage in adventure mode. He killed people with it and changed his name to Nickelas Cage.

That is how it started.

Why would it be weird for people to like a great actor?

Also the best song ever created wouldn't exist without him.
