They're referring to the link in the IC thread that goes TO the OOC thread... But I fixed it.

I should probably note that I'm going to attempt to be more descriptive than in my other games. If it starts getting annoying, just say so and I'll stop yo.

You said no OOC in the IC. Does this include putting any skill modifiers etc that we might think helps you rather than looking at our sheets?

e.g. mine for this turn are:
Listen +6
Survival +4

Skill modifiers, Roll URLs, and anything directly related to the game do not count. Side comments or talking about the game go into the OOC.

Do you prefer us to roll or you?

Sometimes I'm on my phone and can't anyway but if it makes things easier for you then I will when I can.

If you want to roll you can. Usually I do it. it's not too hard for me to do so.

Also, rolling ourselves means lots of looking through linked Invisiblecastle rolls, maybe including checking the log for cheating cheaters who cheat.  :-X

Basically, I see it two ways: On one hand, it's easier for a DM to just roll everything themselves, from a logistical standpoint, which means faster updates. It also includes some interesting things, for example, rolling Spot/Listen checks, a DM doing it behind the scenes and only notifying players who noticed something is good for mah immursuns in comparison to, "Okay, spot checks everyone. Hm, nope, none of you see anything out of the ordinary."

On the other, I also enjoy the appeal of players rolling for things. It speeds up actions in other ways by not making DMs roll for random checks, gets players more involved, and reduces the chance of error/misunderstandings because each player has a vested interest in ensuring their rolls are done correctly, as well as a more detailed understanding of exactly how their character build works.

Probably the most inclusive is to have the basic setup identical to how a live game would run in terms of division of rolls, but allow players to choose to defer their rolls to the DM unless they note otherwise, as well as allowing the DM to roll for everyone in certain circumstances (hiding the existence of something which might go unseen/unheard by everyone, to use to example above). So if, for example, I want to make a Know check, I can just include the IC link in my post about that, which reduces the time it takes for Nerjin to respond.

SOrry for the delay in posting that... Anyways, I would like to ask the group to post something of a marching order. Basically just where you stand in relation to the others. Who goes first, last that sorta thing.
