I am quite looking forward to the next 20 or 30 years or so of developmental madness

Huzzah!

I'm super excited to see what happens in the wake of the weresloth attack.  Mostly because the amount of idling may mean the whole of West Glovedloved is a powderkeg just waiting for a tragedy to set it off.

Welcome back! :)

Hopefully Chimerat has more of a reason to trust and like you as Overlord.  ;D

Anyway, I figure if we don't see Nordi by this weekend, I'll work on getting some Glovedloved posts up under new management.

I'd actually do it right now, as I think the chance of seeing him again is vanishingly small, but it's hell week at work, so I'm not gonna.

MAGIC!

Honestly though, they correspond to the 3 drawbridges in the neutral zone.  Left lever closes the furthest west bridge, middle the middle bridge, and the right the eastern bridge.  I'm reasonably sure I remembered to hook them up.

The two bridges leading up to the Mountain's main staircase was because I'd originally planned to dig the cavern entrance  between them, then I thought better of it.  Now that entrance is just south of the Trade Depot.  Figured it would be more exciting that way*.

*Actually, I never got far enough, but I was going to put a barracks station in that tunnel and put guards there.  But I never got to a point where making a lot of soldiers made any sense.

so that could have been much worse.  Only 5 no name dwarves were killed, but now there's all these potentially infected dwarves.  I just hope I didn't miss any.

I always enjoy that month following a werebeast attack when you don't really know who all might be infected.  But you're pretty sure you figured it out.  Probably.

Not sure how I feel about sharing a table with one of the mooks, though.

neblime, can you reincarnate me as "thakom", a hermetical engineer?
I don't think there are any engineers currently, though one may come with a migrant wave.

ok sure
I'll probably update today
ps - sorry i had to use the future dungeon for the werebeasts, but hey this is the kind of thing skulls would be responsible for anyway - locking people in a room where they will likely die, if not transform into something horrible

sorry Einstein no mechanics came with the migrants.
I do appreciate a small embark, for fps reasons, but it does seem very dangerous to have the map edge so close to the settlement, so i built a bit of a wall to increase our reaction time.
Sorry doc timeless, you weren't even infected  :( would you like a new dwarf?

That's alright.
Soon, one may come.
Don't mind waiting.

So, was Timeless the only named dwarf we lost in the weresloth attack?

I think it's only a matter of time before the Follwers get rounded up and burrowed with a certain dwarf who's hidden behind a wall...

Speaking of which, when I redo the Discussion board I should include info-blurbs on any factions that form as we play.  So far it looks like we have the Loyalists, Followers of the Path, Skulls' Guards, and Mountain dwellers.
