Why would time travel kill the newer gods? OOC yeah a new god only came into existence because an old god died or retired but IC gods just tend to appear at random or at convenient time. The only way a new god can die from time travel is if it were created by another god which, as we all know, is impossible.

I think you can see why people want something more reliable.

As I said before, you'll probably paradox yourself and potentially cause damage to the Bubble and other gods besides your target. If you're willing to do that then you might as well go sign up with the Null to get what you want. Of course the easy way might look like the best way but that doesn't mean the easy way is the best way.

Killing Cim with time travel: It's necessary but not sufficient. Also, butterfly effect is in play here and I already have a set of rules set aside for that which I will surely regret applying.
Killing others in general: There's a bunch of easier ways to do that that don't risk unexpected consequences so much. Conflict is built into YG and will likely continue to be an integral part of it.
Time travel killing off newer gods: There are safety measures in place to reduce the chances of this happening.
Time travel leading to update rewrites: I don't actually mind, believe it or not. You (pl.), however, will.

Based on Exalted?:

• Mechanics: I don't have first-hand experience, so I doubt it. That Exalts use Essence is simply a coincidence because I was trying for a word for something that's not quite HP but not quite money either but still functions much like both.
• Setting: I've read up a bit on it (not as much as on Wraith or OWoD Mage) so some influence is inevitable. The denizens of the Void drew from numerous influences to avoid a stereotypical tentaclebeast-type thing, and some of you may have noticed the more abstract ones that more closely represent the ideas of their spheres. Other than that, I don't think much of significance comes from White Wolf stuff.

Tangentially related note: Price checks can be marked using $s, €s, £s, or ¥s if your keyboard doesn't have a convenient $ key.

I've spent 13E last turn, to create 18 million flagellants, but I haven't seen any increase in my E/turn. Am I understanding this wrong, or did something go wrong?

2E for the last few ticks: I'd spin it as you being not lucky enough, but "not" seems a bit tilted, so it is indeed bad luck.

Not increasing income from 18M Flagellants: It's listed as an increase, but what happened is it seems you had a lot of followers even before. Since worship-derived income is logarithmic, adding, say, a thousand when you have ten thousand is unlikely to be visible.
