Fun fact: Azem usually uses 'Goldfather' as a last name. Or at least his angels do.
I always thought it was a title. Learn something new everyday.

Using it as a last name saves precious words.

That's assuming you use up a crap-ton of Essence. It cost the combined efforts of several gods to make 3 million sapients with 8 Essence and having multiple gods on the same project gives a discount to Essence cost.

...No, it was pretty cheap before the change. I remember propagating both the Armu and Seppo to 3 million by myself.

Thus the default race assumed to be Human, since it seems that they're the ones with the highest Worship Quality. I think. Not sure if Worship Quality multiplier can go above 1. I don't think so...but I haven't seen anything to actively say otherwise, so I'm not actually certain.

There you go assuming.

Is 50 not a general human life span in this setting?

When was 50 ever the general human life span? :-\. I don't think anyone really paid attention to human's lifespan anyway. It is probably about modern-day, despite what Andres said it has little to do with magic. He assumes thing a lot.

Not really. I have always heard it that the statistics are usually off because of all the infant death. Here is an article on it.

Average life span was 30 due to infant deaths. If you managed to survive your childhood, though, you were likely to live to 50.

In this game, the more detailed you get the more things start to cost. It's one of the reasons I got into the bad habit of assuming everything.
Is this true? I thought a better defined race would cost less?

Remember Darruth's power armour? It came with a crap-ton of features that inflated the price to a massive degree. If he just created power armour and assumed the features were there then they would've likely been there at no extra price.

That isn't right either. While the average life expectancy was low due to infant deaths, I would put most people who made it into adult hood (past 20) would easily live to be seventy at least.

They do. But price checking a lot makes KJP annoyed so he raises the price tag, and Andres keeps price checking his more complicated things to oblivion. He just assumed again.

****DOUBLE EDIT!****

I also found the perfect anime for you to learn how to kill tentacle monsters!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((Assassination classroom. The first one I am suggesting that actually has people shooting at a tentacle monster~))

But if you assume, you might assume things that aren't true and get killed for it... and then get in an argument about it.

Also, most of the gods aren't wearing anything. Not that I've been spying or anything... :P

Late medieval people also didn't have functional magic to cure their ailments etc., and the average lifespan is even harder to calculate as almost every race has a different one.

I think Gem Dragons must be among the longest living mortal races.

Alprozem has been around since the tick numbers were in single digits after all.

Well we already have at least one immortal race. Maybe just having a name multiplies your lifespan by a factor of a thousand?

Actually, aren't the Gruen the longest-living race? They only get larger and hungrier as time goes on, after all.

So what is this bestiary that the creatures get logged into?

Something Andres made to keep track of all the races. He then annoyed everyone until someone eventually paid him to update.

But eventually they become to large to feed themselves and die. The High Elves, or whatever Kaybar made in his secret city, are immortal thus the longest lived race by default.
