I only say Humans breed faster because that's the only real explanation I can think of for Humans growing as fast as they have compared to everyone else, unless Yaos pulled some magnificent bullshit without anyone noticing.
Nope. Yaos never edited Humanity as a whole.

I don't think default means important. Rather the opposite...humans are generic, and thus boring.
Exactly this. The only thing they have going for them is their ambition.

I'm a God of Protection whose eventual goal is to be able to leave and have everything work fine and nice and Good after he leaves without needing his help. 'No longer needs divine intervention' is rather important for that.

Pfft, how's that working fo- I mean, that's a noble goal, I'm sure I can help you out with that in the future.

What?
You realize what this boils down to is "Everything falls under my sphere and gives me power, now let's go do the same to another Bubble"?

You need to manage it first, sunshine :P

Well that would have been a great tactic...if you didn't just tell everyone about it. Now it is easy to block. ....And how does one keep an angry tentacle monster with Godlike powers captive? I am not even sure how they eat.

No problem is unsolvable with enough essence thrown at it :D. Let's stop talking before I give away any more of my secret combat tactics ;).

I have. It was terrifying.

Too excessive? :))

No, it's based off what I've created and the backup systems I have in place.

I'm a God of Protection whose eventual goal is to be able to leave and have everything work fine and nice and Good after he leaves without needing his help. 'No longer needs divine intervention' is rather important for that.

That and me magic stuff now.

Shrug. I won't argue one way or another. Theoretical discussions are just that. Besides, I don't think we'll be fighting in the foreseeable future.

In all honesty, big chunk of the reason I don't think any one race could wipe out all the others is plot. One race wiping out all the others easily is boring. I notice in games like these, and in this game as well, the underdogs get a Plot Bonus.

This is an easily testable theory. There must be at least one race created by an as of now deceased god.

Kujin made the Ikakus very anti-Evil. Darruth might get upset if you attempt to genocide them.

Creating a race of deathbell skeleton plant people.
Spoiler: Deathbells (click to show/hide)

This is probably poorly done, but I'm tired...

Alright, I'm going to bed.

I fully expect to wake up and find the proposal of a fight between Malakath and Fusil to have been passed and violence between the two parties to ensue shortly thereafter.

Do not let me down, fellow players, else I might actually cry.

OOC, I really don't want a fight before I get a chance to do a no-politcking play-through. Seriously, to you guys it's just a couple gods fighting. Good entertainment. For me, it's losing over a hundred hours of work for a meaningless trit.

I'm considering setting up a magic shop that sells potions and scrolls with random magical effects. The fun part is that you don't know what they do until you use them!
Of course, Gods get the stuff for free...

Also, I magically change my robe to be the colour of the sky.

$$$
Price check on making 300 Vetegans: Human-looking beings with monkey tails who get stronger every time they nearly die, turn into giant monkeys when they look at a full moon, and can turn "Super Vetegan" if they get powerful and angry enough. :P

EDIT:
Actual price checks.

$$$
Price check on making a Luna-sized moon
Price check on making a half-Luna-sized moon
Price check on making an Earth-sized, uninhabitable planet
Price check on making an Earth-like planet
Price check on the artifact forge if it could only make one type of thing (weapons, armour, magical trinkets, etc.)
Price check on making the moon-sized space battleship with the WMG except without the WMG or the weapons. So it's basically just a moon-sized spaceship. How much for one?

EDIT2: Spell-check says that spaceship is one word. I like that.

EDIT3: I just saw Khaziraad's post in IC. My price checks have nothing to do with Khaziraad's post.

I bet 3E that price will include a warning

The point of keeping the golems on fire isn't for the value of fire as a weapon. It's more to keep the golems functioning at a reasonable speed.
It was never a promise. It was a dirty lie, and you all knew that. You should all know by now that you can't trust a word I say.

The reasons for why we need vetoes to have well-defined mechanics (which they don't really have right now) are as follows:
  • Stacked vetoes are nasty to disentangle and maybe annoy the uninvolved
  • Stacked vetoes devalue the meaning of the veto, especially  the free ones backed only by words
  • It's difficult for me to come up with something that balances being able to block actions while not making it trivially cheap

It's a bit of a shame there's no particular legislative primer or something so everyone can at least start with a known level of understanding of how successful compromises typically work and are negotiated, how tacking on stuff to bills of interest subtly can facilitate approval, how seemingly small favors can be used as powerful lobbying tools, how to tell when something can't be salvaged at the moment, and other things like that.
